Universe 2 / Cannot Log Into My Account Anymore

Hi,
I just came back from vacation and I can't get back into my account. A friend sent me a Starfleet invite, I accepted it thinking this would just add him to my buddies list. Instead, I got a brand new "Welcome Commander" page to start out a new character.
Any idea how I get back to my original account?
