Game Mechanics
« on: April 12, 2017, 04:18:52 PM »
I have a question about hydro synthesizing production .

Why would my hydro production be lower for a planet in slot 2 vs slot 12?

Things to note.
I have no solar sats for energy as I am using solar arrays with plenty of extra energy  and both my ore  and crystal mines are giving equal production on each planet. It is only Hydro that is different.
There are no nuclear power plants built.

Everything else is equal like factory workers ,mine levels, etc.

H production is temperature dependant and temperature is dependant on planet slot (plus random factor)

I posted.
For some reason I didn't see this when I looked.

Note that this formula gives a constant ratio between lowest and highest temperatures. The coolest temperature planet will produce 25% more hydrogen than the warmest for the same level, or inversely, the warmest will produce 20% less. This is the maximum range -- since planets vary in temperature within this range, the actual difference between two otherwise identical planets would be within this range. In practice, this means that planets further from slot 1 of a system produce hydrogen more efficiently.

It wasn't a concern. More of a curiosity.
