How does this happen?
« on: October 29, 2011, 11:54:28 PM »
I attacked an Id yesterday.

I sent 28 Hades  11 Athena 54 Posiden 20 atlass

His defenses were 1 laser 13 Missile Battery 1 Plasma.

I took no losses

I attack the same Id today and sent..

29 Hades 11 Athena 54 Posiden and 20 atlas the defenses were

1 laser cannon 10 Missile 1 Plasma.

I lose 1 hades? How does this happen? Rapid fire?

I see I've raided a few planets with Plasma was the first time I took losses against them when I took out the defense in 1 round.

As a very general rule of thumb, you'll lose one ship per round per defending Plasma. You got lucky the first time.

:o Chances are... During the first battle you were building a research droid and Hydro mine simultaneously... this probably confused the defending plasmas on the first round and your ships went untouched...

During the second attack... you might have been building a crystal mine and no droids, thus making the armor on the Hades momentarily weaker while at the same time the defending plasmas more accurate...

:D You have to look for these little things...  :o

Aren't you, Doom?   ???
If you could see things from my point of view, and I could see things from your point of view, maybe, JUST MAYBE, some dear angel would come along and pull BOTH our heads out of our Arses.

No, his logic is sound.

Well, someone's going to have to explain that in a little more detail.

1) How would building a research droid and leveling up a Hydro mine confuse a plasma cannon?

2) How would leveling up a Chrystal mine make the armor on a ship weaker? Or make plasma cannons more accurate?

Actually kinda reminds me of times I would tell a blonde to go the parts store and get some 'blinker fluid' or a 'cable stretcher'. LOL

Unless it's just his way of explaining "Luck", then that works for me.

Chrystal mine?  Does Chrystal Dawn know you are talking about her?

Would that be similar to us flyboys sending the new guy to supply to pick up 50 yards of flight line and a gallon of prop wash?

How could I forget the muffler bearings, lol.

I would imagine if you updated to jet wash, you might need 500 yards of flight line.

Sent one of the new warehouse guys to the jobbing shop next door to our place one time to get a bucket of steam. The guy at the other end played along and phoned over to me to see if I needed "Type 2 steam" or the usual

Please tell me you didn't buy that? <facepalm>. You did huh? Did you also know that launching your hades at one of my moons when it shows active will cause them to double in numbers? Of course, you have to launch 2500 or more  :)

Squids send the newbies to supply to get relative bearings.  I once told a girl going to the supermarket to pick up some tube steak....
