Really. I'm just wondering here. List everything you can think of. Honestly!

Transporting large amounts of och between moons at very slow speeds (But very fuel efficient).

Bait for potential attackers.

Better FRS options.

Looks really cool on your screen.

in hugely high numbers they are good for ninja defends, otherwise the only benefit i use them is to slow my FRS down to more suitable time for me, as well as saving a bit of hydro doing it in the process.

Zeus are also pretty decent because of their RF, the zeus' RF is completely random (unlike what BFG state) and there has been plenty of battle reports to show that.  Enough zeus on a happy RF day can decimate fleets.

In some versions of the game killing Zeus is an achievement, however in Ex2 it is more or less standard

Hitting the npc when the cost of hydro to send a fleet outweighs the gain BUT only send from your moon so you do not get olocked..

They also save you a fortune in hydro on frs when you have large fleets ...

They're really good for getting blind harvest FRS locks. Nice and predictable :D

500 with a 100k arty shield is unstoppable. The only problem with them is they aren't built in high enough numbers. Even 500 alone will take most fleets, but with an arty screen you'll see zero losses of zs every time

30 Zeus will take out the 100'ish plasma NPC's at a cost of about 30 hydro.  Normally you'd have to send nearly 1000 proms and 500 ares, at a cost of at least 500K hydro.  Send them from a moon during your overnight FRS.  If the NPC is still there when they hit, great, otherwise you are only out 30 hydro.  They make great warp gate ninja's too!
