Those "some folks" are just scared of losing some ships because they have forgotten what it's like to frs. Lol

The quicker we can get this thing started, the quicker we can get to Rayman's next tournament.

This thing won't impede the tournament. We're not competing for a title or a prize. This is a scrimmage. I hate to be presumptuous, but it's not looking like it's getting the necessary traction. There's only a good handful of folks looking to combat...just for the fun of combat. I wanted to spend this week getting to know alliance mates and opponents, but we've only gotten 5 sign ups. With a 10/1 start date, I'm thinking the interest isn't there...at least not under these terms or me helming it. Whatever the case is...I'm giving players a few more days to find out or reconsider it.

So, where are we?  It doesn't look like anyone wants do do this all out war.  Should we put it off for another day, maybe after Rayman's?  Need to make some hard choices here.

Well...not allowing d mode eliminated a whole alliance. D mode wasn't the issue. I was really trying to see how much d mode mattered but I'm not seeing an interest in enough players for it to matter. I'm going to call it...

Have fun out there and happy hunting!

may be the D minimun allowance to be in next Rayman tourney as well as P
My enemy’s enemy is a problem for later: In the meantime, they might be useful.

I just don't want to fight for a war win for an alliance just to go poof and disappear once the temporary alliance goes away. Then it all seems like it is for nothing. I want war wins for my alliance. Just my opinion. Also no p mode rule is same as no d mode rule. It will not help in garnering interest in such an endeavor. P mode and fleet saving are generally the same thing. If i am fleet save or p mode you cant get me just the same. The only difference is you can probe my empty planets.

Scott, I love that you share your thoughts and feelings. It does help to know what people are thinking. While this was not the "event" for you, we did officially have enough players express an interest to start planning and putting it together. Unfortunately, there was no good way to reach people to get it off of the ground. Maybe one day, but I doubt it.

People who say that p mode is the same as frsing are generally avid p mode users thus invalidating their opinion on the matter.

And to think we could have been warring right now...

It's been so quiet EVERYWHERE...

I think I ruffled a few feathers though...I've had a few members of one alliance all trying to tag team one location...

Thanks for the laughs and adrenaline rushes fellas!

I dont know about this organized war thing, but to me it seems like several players get really angry if you hit them. Like to the point where they go ballistic and sets out on a crusade, or personal vendetta...

In a way, that is cool, because it turns the game into a wargame again.

Just hit a few players, and when you step on a "sore toe" the game comes alive!

I've seen some messages saying (between the lines) that it is wrong to hit someone who considers them selves NPC hunters only, and that they are not to be targeted... (something like that)

There is "action" available out there for you who seeks it!

:D

Yeah...there is...I incite anger about once a week. It tickles me that I can probe someone and like 3 or 4 of them will show up trying to get me. I can hit someone and not get that much attention. I am even more tickled at how little skill the players that do send ships use...it's all brute force.

But whatever...I'm here...and as long as I'm here I'll hunt... When I'm ready to go, you guys can trip over yourselves to take what's left...
