Its already been taken care of no foul. Enough said. I ruled on this one already. He has been instructed not to accept anyone after the war starts. There was no unfair advantage or points made from this just didn't know as it wasn't posted.

Now I need to ask.
JV is mainly for smaller member to have  a crack at glory without be killed by shark.
BORG is mainly a third bracket alliance.
But I only see one active.
Can you try to have more fighting because as usual COLD got 8 active players.
again in all 3 brackets.

Please have some more going for glory.
you got the same line up that during semi, we got some D coming active for final.

COME ON .....

Just been told why..

and that is so LOW from one alliance I had respect for but just lost.....
fighting under a newbie alliance to try to get at someone ..

HELL THAT IS SO FREAKING BAD...

We just host the tourneys and put them together and try to keep them fair. Why alliances join to fight is their own business and none of my concern. I don't run these alliances or their reasons but it is safe to say there is some alliances that don't like other alliances. These war tourney would be a place where they can fight and have fun doing it. Maybe you just joined the wrong alliance if there was personnel issues. But this isn't the place for those type posts but in the one for bickering and complaining. This is for the war and not personnel issues with people not liking other people or why they chose to fight in one alliance or another. Lets just finish this one on a good note and fight. They can only be one winner so lets get to it.

I have been asked about nukes. There is nothing in the BFG rules or anything that I can see on nuking. Its fair and I don't really care who nukes who. Its part of the game just like the defenses that are piling up. If a player wants to nuke go ahead. It would make sense to takes some defenses down off a heavily guarded planet. Stay in your brackets though. The same rank rules would apply as what justice stated in the rules. Now go out there and have fun.

Just a reminder.... Nuking someone in another bracket, isn't considered an attack. There is no shame or consequences that impact your war standings.... You might get nuked in return. Ijs

The Judges will be clarifying our position regarding nuking.  Here is my concern:

Let's say that a Tier 3 player wants to attack another Tier 3 player, but the target has diligently built up some defences that are deterring the attack.  The attackers enlists a high-level Tier 2 attacker to totally obliterate his target's defenses, then the Tier 3 attacker skips in on a cake-walk attack to win the war.

Do we really want things like that to happen?  The reason for setting up the tiers is to enable similarly-sized players to deal with each other.  By permitting players from more powerful tiers to assist attacks by nuking, we run a substantial risk of weakening the tier system.

I'll talk with JU and LNS about this and we will come back with a formal position.

Guys, is this really all about winning, or is it about having a good time and being able to get in some PvP against guys that are about your size?  My concern is that you all focus 'way too much on the winning, and not enough on the "having a good time" aspect of the journey.  Could you fellows please focus on what is the right thing to do, rather than on finding cracks in the rules that you can exploit?

Subject:  One player, one account -- your registered account.

We've had an inquiry from a player who is caretaking a second account.  The original account owner has left the game.  The caretaker periodically logs in to keep the account from going "d".

The caretaker has requested that he be permitted to place his registered account into "d" and activate his caretaker account for the tourney.  I've asked Jason of BFG about this.  Here is Jason's reply:

Jason, Sep 6, 06:39 EDT:
A player should only be playing one account. We do not believe that players should be switching back and forth between accounts, even if they are only technically playing one account at a time.
Jason

Based upon Jason's response, we must decline this player's request.  He needs to play his registered account.
