 8) Hey all... bored and just thinking of this game for a second...

 Part reminiscing on what FUN this game was when I first started...  8)

 I started out in Original... plopped in Galaxy 18 to start out with... no clue or concept of how to play...

 For the first three weeks straight started out doing nothing but missions...  ;D I didn't even know how to raid.... I built up a large fleet because I thought that's what you were supposed to do...

 Me, some friends and family formed a loose alliance that eventually got big... and we started out as diplomats... we attacked those that attacked us... honored our Naps, ect..ect... There was a lot of interaction between players of different alliances... It was actually quite fun... sometimes disputes were handled with ships... sometimes with diplomacy...  8)

 Eventually some prick took a disliking to me that greatly over-matched me  >:(

 I won't mention names... but in the end he never successfully destroyed a single fleet of mine AND I forced him to Diplomacy mode which he never recovered from...   8)

 I found myself in GREAT need of resources in order to battle off this prick... looked around.. and I had at that time assembled a respectable armada...

 Because I don't like to lose... I saw that I couldn't keep up with the prick production/research wise, so I made a decision to start raping and pillaging anyone around me I could... it was through this process I learned how to attack... harvest... move resources.. MAC.... and all the little nuances that go with a good gutting of someone..  8)

 My resource pool got to be respectable... and at the same time I actually had a yellow pad with my nemesis's log in/log out times... after awhile I had his whole pattern committed to memory...  8)

 I actually got pretty good and I think my peak rank in Original was like 190 or so before the extreme's came out and I left the Original in favor of Extreme...

 My point is.. Even though I was learning... so was people around me and we were having FUN...  :D

 I guess my point is and the suggestion I was going to tender... I like the current format of this game... It's simple... easy to use.. SDE makes my eyes bleed...

 What I suggest... need to come up with a whole new game concept that incorporates what SFC currently has with a whole bunch of new twist... better in-game messaging system... more opportunities for diplomacy... war rules... Trade even... Something that makes this game more like a universal community...

 You could have alliances that lean more towards trading... and there's benefits to that... you can have warlike tribes that have certain advantages... Diplomatic tribes... ect..ect...

 Basically... I think your on to something here with this game... I think The Original SFC was a resounding success for you but it's punch has dwindled... instead of renaming the fields... making a new game called something else and in essence really not changing anything.. you're applying a bandaid to the overall problem...

 I think your team needs to sit down... rewrite the core programming... and really brainstorm a new uni with new features and challenges that can keep a variety of people interested in something like this.. it should be more then JUST a war game... Though the War part of it should be fun and challenging... as well as other aspects...

 8) Forgive my rambling... but bored and needed to suggest something...

If someone was to Ninja my Harvest Fleetsave while I'm building ships and raiding...

What effect will this have on my Arcnet levels if I'm also building droids and don't have a Charon?...  :o

Will my pulse research be effected because of my hydrogen storage builds and how will this effect my ability to probe (in) colonies?..   :o

If someone probes my colonies while I'm simultaneously building Crystal mines, will the other player's WAS levels be effected?   :o

:twisted: Hey all.... I'm officially leaving the game for a bit...

 My job hunt was successful and I'll be leaving the country here real soon to help our troops communicate with each other...

 Good luck and happy hunting to all you out there and I hope when I return the game continues to improve and I'll be haunting the universes once again...  :twisted:

:evil: Just a thought.. but figured it was worth mentioning...

 When Original first started.. If I recall right... when you failed your energy requirements for whatever reason... your industry shut down... All the way.. you started producing 0 resources...

 I noticed that this setting has been tweaked... probably to keep the inactive pool producing even if helios get crashed...

 Now.. when your industry fails power requirements.. your industry goes down but doesn't shut off...

 I propose to reintroduce this into the strategy of the game.. when your industry fails power requirements, your production goes to Zero... period...

 I also propose.. that when an account goes (in)... power needs are ignored to keep the inactive pool working... this should satisfy the farmers out there..

 There should be a risk in utilizing large amounts of helios and under the current tweaking there really isn't a downside to helios...

 I've decided to visit all sort of old sites and flip the switch.

 I've turned on my resume's and I'm hoping that something lands my direction. :)

 Many years ago my skill set and resume was like feeding blood to sharks, let's hope that I have some good luck this time around.. :)

 I've been taking a sort of sabbatical last few years and I think it's time to re-enter the workforce properly..  :twisted:

:twisted: This is a request that should be fairly easy to institute and would eliminate some confusion..

 When a Player in an Alliance goes (s) mode... How about the Alliance Leader get a copy of the automated reason...

 We had someone in our alliance go (s) and we cannot fathom what happened... An auto-generated copy of Suspension reason to alliance leader would at least give some indication of what happened...

 There's also some accountability benefits to a simple add-on like this..
