BFG does not care for us, the players. They wrongly think we want to end planet moves. The truth is that we just wanted to end the ability to make attacks of any kind after a player moves a planet. this would then re-level the playing field.

This is so typical of a "big" company. All they do is look at the bottom line. Who really cares about the little guy?

Now more than ever i feel this game is dying. it has stagnated beyond belief. I truly thought that compression would breathe life into the game. and for a time it did. and when BFG decided to keep the planet moves in the game, i thought that at some point i would take advantage of that, to put planets in other galaxies once they could stand alone and have moons with gates. then they allowed inactives to be hit from moved planets. this is a totally unfair advantage to the players that can afford to do it at will. i will not spend anymore "real" money on this game or it's variants.

enforcer is this something you know as fact or are you just speculating?

i am in no way trying to impune your integrity, just want to know why we've lost such a great tool. and if we are going to see it return.

Ashes using nukes to take out 23 sats! about what i would expect for a 2k - 3k ranked player. oh wait! Ashes is ranked #7. tell me again how you got that high? that's right you bought it.

i would expect the #7 ranked player to have enough proms in his arsenal to take on just about any planets defenses and have minimal losses while going for 23 sats.

i have had a couple run ins with ashes before. this is his normal play style. he never attacks, but runs and hides. now he has a "BIG" account to hide behind.

I have to agree with WGW on this. I will also admit that I have benifited from one of Kenneth's Ihops, I collected nearly 18mil from a DF that he made when he popped a fresh id Heph. The other thing I'd like to point out is that if Kenneth had not been allowed to hit the inactive Heph I and buddy were seconds from attacking it ourselves. If the players that can afford to continue to do this, are allowed to continue it will hurt the game even more.

Myself and a few others created a group on FB. that way if you are all on at the same time you can use the group chat to talk to each other. since most of us have FB accounts there is no need to download Skype if you don't want to.

I was not trying to disparage anyone else. I was just using myself as an example. Yes this game is very demanding and i have been playing it for nearly 2yrs. I live in a rural area so the demands of a volunteer do not overly compromise my playing time.

I was merely trying to point out that RL sometimes forces us to make decisions that to some might not be ethical.

Please don't imply that I should quit playing the game. To me that is being pretentious of you, as well as being slighly egotistical.

Here it is that we are trying to keep players from quiting as well as getting new players to join and you tell me that I should not be playing. Shame on you!

While I agree that BFG needs to clarify the "babysitting" rule, I myself have had to have a friend log into my account to fleetsave for me.

Some of you will say that I should have planned better or something to that effect. But the fact of the matter is that I am a volunteer fireman and when those tones go out I don't have time to properly setup a fleetsave shedule. I pm my friend and let him know what's going on. I give my friend a rough estimate of when i will be back and if I'm longer well then it's up to the SFC gods to let my fleets live or die.

some of you will question whether I am being truthful about being a vlounteer, but I can careless what you think about that. Just remember that someday you might "need" me or someone like me to come to your house to put out that fire or get you out of a car wreck. We are the ones that run into the burning building. Just ask my "343" brothers what it means to be a fireman!

We all need to remember that RL gets in the way of us playing a game! And that's all this is is a "GAME"!

there is one more reason why it "might" not work.

not every player reads these forums. there is only a small precentage of players that read and contribute to them.

this will only devolve into another flame thread where noone can agree except to disagree with each other.

there are to many chiefs and not enough indians for this kind of thing to work.

Feature Suggestions / Re: Many-to-one warp gate

One other thing that could be added when you upgrade to higher levels of warp gate, is that the cooldown period is dropped by 15mins.

gate level 1 - 1hr cooldown
gate level 2 - 45min cooldown

you would probably need to cap the cooldown at 15mins.

I think this mentioned in another thread just didn't go looking for it.

General Starfleet Discussion / Re: Solar/NPP on spy reports

Thanks for clearing that up for me Victor. i wasn't quiet sure if solar arrays varied the way helios do.

General Starfleet Discussion / Re: Solar/NPP on spy reports

But they do show the # of Helios.

I understand that they are a sat/ship, but with a little math and guesswork you can figure out their output to some degree. then you have an idea of their energy consumption.

you can also extrapoliate the energy consupmtion based on their mine levels. we all know what we use for energy on our on planets. solar arrays put out more energy the closer they are to a sun. that is why they are called "solar arrays". so if your target is in a 3 slot and has x number of helios then you should be able to come close to knowing their energy consumption.

as far as nukes go they use hydrogen to make energy. so if the target is in a a lower slot then you know that their NPP are producing higher energy amounts than say one in a 3 slot.

of course i could be wrong in my assumptions, but it makes sense to me.
