Probe harassment
« on: January 18, 2013, 04:56:04 PM »
From the good old Rules page:

"It is against the rules to harass other players, either through verbal messages or in-game actions including... excessive pointless espionage."

so if i have a friend receiving 20-30 probes a day per planet, and its empty, what is the definition of excessive pointless espionage? the player has been reported... and nothing

respond with nukes

A player I wiped out a month ago in the tournament decided to send 90 nukes at me today in various waves as a "signing off" gesture, and abandoned all of his planets except his original homeworld right after.

In a logical, and practical world, this constitutes as harassment. However in BFG's world, perfectly okay because they don't have it listed in the rules.

So yeah, nuke everything if someone even looks at you funny.

i agree, i just feel that if you are going to have a rule, the least thing BFG cold do was help either clarify what is considered harassment from probes,  and at the least enforce it. if i were being probed as muc as my friend, i would send nukes, probe just as often, and just in general make their life miserable.
