Yes it is, provided the chat is relevant. And it is relevant.

How are random responses relevant? Are they negotiating? No. Are they accepting? No. Thus, not relevant. Stating an opinion doesn't necessarily make it relevant to the bartering process.

of course it was a relevant comment, i was wishing you luck as everyone needs hydro and we all have shit loads of crystal and ore.

I cant see too many people offering it up as they are having to merch themselves, why spend credits to give it away when crystal and ore are so easily gained????

Again, opinion, you choose to use credits means everybody does? I've never spent a cent on the game, I'm fairly sure others haven't either - possibly not many, possibly a lot. Either way, it's an opinion. Further, there are such things as turtles, who might be looking to offload their hydro, or is everybody a fleeter?

Don't get me wrong, your 'good luck' and response, was not what irritated me.

How are random responses relevant? . Thus, not relevant. Stating an opinion doesn't necessarily make it relevant to the bartering process.

Ok, just an FYI for you.

FACT

People ARE short on hydro and having to merch at an unbelievable rate, thus another FACT players are increasing hydro storage to excessive levels for better trade rates.

FACT

CRYSTAL is abundent, espi reports more often than not show players with equal crystal - ore ratio or greater.

FACT

CRYSTAL is so common, players are building millions of probes just to get rid of it.

These are facts and not opinions.  the comments were and are also relevant as players were informing you of this.  Now, if you want my hydro, then i would ONLY accept 5:1 ratio (5 billion c gets you 1 billion H) but thiat is against the trade rules.

In resposne to your message that was psoted during this:

Mines are soft capped, meaning there is a lower return, I am rank #1 in defence and still have a crap load of ore/crystal, i also have a hydro heavy fleet (hades/proms/zeis/thans) i can trade with players and/or merch (i have Lvl 23 hydro storage) but even i find trades difficult as all players are struggling with hydro.

Oh, i also have lvl 39 hydro mines on some planets as well, rake in an excess of 50 - 100mill profit on hydro per NPC and i am still struggling

Whine all you like, we're well within our rights to say anything we want to as long as it is on topic, and we were all on topic until you started whining.

In other words you went off topic first, so how about YOU shut up. :)

@Kru, mind providing some data to back up these 'FACTs'?

I will say this, and yes BFG will get all pissy about it, but conquest is NOT designed for PvP actions such as trading.  The need for rescources is strongly aimed and geared towards the need to merch.

I am sure some players who merch 2 - 3 times a day will help you out, but many can't.  It costs me 30 mill+ to FRS everynight, to send dioys to collect from an NPC hit costs roughly 26 - 58 million.

The only way to sustain hydro is to merch (really bad mechanic)

Sadly, i also know that one day i just wont have the hydro to FRS,
