evil: It could have also been since the probes were being considered battles and processed as one it was causing unnecessary CPU loading... one or two is no big deal but when you have hundreds or thousands of people probing all over the place they may have been feeling it on their server.. I like the idea of just create a generic report.. skip the battle phase of the engagement and consider the probes destroyed idea.. To BFG looking at the server it might have seemed a bug...

 Even without the debris fields created via intercepts eliminated you can still paint an area with attack option... although it's my understanding based on the threads that they reinserted probe debris...

lol it looks like those spam accounts are becoming a little more sophisticated. Still too obvious, though :)

Is there any chance we could have these spam accounts purged and the forum cleaned up? Seems a little odd that some of the actual gamers have been purged yet these are allowed to run riot.
