Title: Don't FRS from your moon
Post by: Geministar on November 07, 2012, 12:52:26 PM
Perhaps this is common knowledge and just my ignorance, but apparently, when your moon is destroyed and you have frs'd from that moon, your fleet goes *poof*!

Lytjohan led an attack on Geministar at Aphrodite ‎‎[xx:xx:xm].
The following emerged from battle after 1 Round(s)

*****Attacker: Lytjohan with 21,595,000 RSP involved (initial fleet RSP) *****
Poseidon : 0  (Lost: 55 of 55)
Zeus : 0  (Lost: 2 of 2)
** Resources lost: 11,100,000 ore, 8,385,000 crystal, and 2,110,000 hydrogen.
** Destroyed Ship Points Gained: 0

*****Defender: Geministar with 0 RSP involved (initial fleet RSP) *****
Missile : 0  (Lost: 2 of 2)
Pulse : 0  (Lost: 1 of 1)
** Ship Resources lost: 0 ore, 0 crystal, and 0 hydrogen.
** Total Resources lost: 10,000 ore, 2,000 crystal, and 0 hydrogen.
** Destroyed Ship Points Gained: 21,595

After 1 rounds of combat: The attacking side acquired 0 resources.
Geministar (DEFENDER) lost 12 RSP and gained 21,595 DSP.
(more) Lytjohan (ATTACKER) lost 21,595 RSP and gained 0 DSP.

The following defenses were rebuilt: Missile Battery x2 Pulse Cannon x1 3,330,000 ore and 2,515,500 crystal are now floating at this location.

That last line is sort of amusing. I must have a pulse cannon floating around in space ;)

However, learn from my mistake, if you didn't know it already, DO NOT frs from your moon, or you risk returning to find your fleet is gone. BTW, I don't think this benefits the attacker(s) either as they receive no DSP from the fleet's destruction.

i didn't think it was suppose to work that way.
i thought it got redirected to your planet.
you might want to send in a ticket.

Ticket submitted, but at this point the fleet is still...in limbo?

If your moon was destroyed, the fleet task was transferred to the planet.

1. On my Home screen for the ex-moon's planet, there is no task ongoing.
2. On my Fleet screen, there is no fleet in flight, nor one set down on the corresponding planet.
3. On my Home --> All Planets, Ships or Tasks screens, there is no indication of the missing fleet or any activity.

I know what is supposed to be occurring, but the actuality is different. There is no fleet, there is no activity, & there is no task. Basically, I'm assuming that there is a fleet in limbo somewhere and who knows when it is due back...

We're looking in to it. Looks like the task became disassociated for some reason.

"Magically" re-appeared on my planet moments ago, no notification in my messages of it's return from the harvest mission and no note from BFG letting me know that they would be dropping it off...boy, I sure am glad that I had access to a computer when this happened or else BFG might have just put my fleet out there without any consideration to when I might be able to look after it...ahem.

If you used a valid e-mail address to submit your support ticket, the response was provided there.

Thank you, that still doesn't take into consideration when I might be available to look after the ships...but oh wells, fleet loss averted this time.

I understand that if the attacker did not hit any fleet that they do not get DSP but did you actually get the DSP from his destroyed z-balls and poseidon?

He did get the DSP from the Zeus being destroyed, as intended.

Just an interesting (to me) side note...I fail to see in the report where mention is made of the moon actually being destroyed...or perhaps I have not had enough coffee yet. ??? Sorry about your moon.  ;)

It was the last week of the tourney, the loss of the infrastructure cost me some rank, but the biggest issue was that I had lost my warp gate, and thus couldn't relocate my fleet to another galaxy if an opportunity arrived....
