To all the leaders in this round, please make sure that all war request are correct before sending. If you are accepting, please make sure that you accept at 16:00:00 game time on 11/27/15. War duration is 3 weeks(21 days). No inactive's. No Dmode minimum.  Lets have some fun!

I am really eager for this next round to begin. I know that there has been a bit of disapproval...I will work towards resolving those issues in the future. This isn't an easy job at all and I do appreciate the support from everyone. Again... I want to apologize to SVK for their collective feelings in regards to the wars. I am trying to empathize with their position and use all of this as a learning experience. Immediately after the JVT is over, we will be holding a meeting in the forum for everyone to see. I hope that we get maximum participation, so that the JVT to come, are bigger and better.

Thats something to discuss in the post tournament meeting. Currently the requirement is 3 active players outside of D and Vmode. No more than 16 consecutive hrs in Pmode (please be reasonable). Don't try to find ways to bend or break the rules. I know that this tournament is and must evolve, but I want to maintain its authenticity.

One of our lower ranked players who was completely fleetsaved had a substantial amount of res dropped on him earlier and had to abandon his planet.

The person dropping off the res out of the blue, says he was unaware of the war.  But he and his alliance were in group 2 of the first round and an alliance we eliminated.

BFG doesnt seems to be able to help to keep an eye on the P marker rule..

16 hours P but then 6 hours active...

It's not that BFG is "unable" to track P-Mode time, BFG is "unwilling" to track P-Mode time.

The 16 Hour P-mode and 6 Hours active does not add up to a full day. Should it be 16 Hrs P-Mode and 8 hrs. active???? This is a full day. Tracking this rule is very difficult. I do not have a solution.

Post by: Stina Starr on December 02, 2015, 04:59:44 AM
It wasn't meant to be tracked...each participant knows the rule...and should be able to follow it... No 24 hr markers and if you've stacked 2 8hr markers, figure something else out. OMG...it's not that hard.

Don't worry about it.
In all sports defence is as important as attack.
All them rgc are rubbish npc farming players, so they have to play defensive to stand a chance of winning.
It is how you deal with it that makes you champions.
You have to break down teams who park the bus.
We regroup and go again that's what champions do.
No point moaning about it, do something about it.
Gameplans and tactics are a part of sport.
You have to give credit where it is due they played there game well.
Not every team wants to win some are happy with forcing a draw.

Vashanka, who was the star offensive player of T4, and I have had some useful conversations during his recent extended visit with HOD.  One of the things he emphasized to me is that winning wars is a full team effort.  You usually will have just a few people who are sharp offensively.  It's the job of the rest of the crew to avoid getting hit.

I think that BO did a fantastic job of that (avoiding getting hit) in T4 -- we (HOD) were not able to find any available attacks -- essentially perfect protection by BO of their toys.  There were a lot of times when our Hephs were visiting BO systems, but we'd get there, there was nothing to hit, and we left. What do you expect us to have done, run attacks against systems with no ships or res in them?

We've consistently given BO kudos for their excellent defense and toy-protection during T4.  BO definitely was the best at that, during T4.

Why is it that, when the other side (HOD) protects their toys similarly well, all we get is ridicule from BO?  And you guys even bring that ridicule into threads for a totally different tourney!

Occuli, for T5, here is a target for you -- G8:252:8.  I promise you that I will keep res there.  You and your team can come and get it.

Sometimes when wars are boring it is just as T wayne has stated. BOTH side are doing a good job of keeping their toys safe. Sometimes players hit P mode for days or extended fleet save because their life dictates. That is just the way it is. Frustrating when you are trying to find a hit and it is not there but we have to try and remember that is just life. We have to remember that this is a game where we all play against each other and the dynamic of life is what makes it so predictable at times and also unpredictable too.

COLD is using Based on and Autonomy strategy..
an aggressive approach of the war game...

RcG being a clone of HOD I warned our Autonomy fellow warrior of the ninja tactic used .
funny enough it was a Based on that made a mistake...

like i said in another topic we need to bring attack bonus in those wars to make it more enjoyable..

defense is boring.

We happily fight the war our way and in our own time.  We have a 3 week war.  It does not have to be over in the first 2 days.

We have 5 players out hunting with their hephs and have won 5 wars through attack,  one through defence, but we are not going to fight in a manor that suits the enemy.

As to sitting on my thumb, waiting for am attack?   I came out of dip mode and was under attack twice within 40 minutes.  That attack was recalled due to heavy probing by Mongols.

Half an hour after that I was under attack again.  It made common sense to try for the ninja

Ok.... Clearly there is alot of conversation going on behind my back, so I will bring it too the forefront like a man. Going back to that incident where The Mongols won against Jedi Council. I was informed of a possible resource dumping almost 2 hrs AFTER my attack had already landed. For those of you who are speculating, ask some funing questions before jumping to conclusions, if you don't like rules, get involved when they are put together. I don't have all the answers and I invite anyone to add to the pot. I can't wait to see who actually participates in the meeting that I am calling for. There are players, mainly Bloody9 (James) whatever the hell his name is, that question my honor and say that I cheat, but when asked, can't say what I did, but sit around and talk like a female. You probably sit down when you pee. I can't stand weak ass men.

And for the record, there is no reason to be tight lipped. Speak up if you have something to say.

Not from what I have encountered, no. You beat me and didn't talk smack at all... As a matter of fact, you had the chance to level me, but recalled your other attacks because the war was over and your point was made.

Yeah... That same thing. Some ppl think I somehow set that up or intentionally benefited from it. I'm not that kind of a guy... Now I have this funtard B9 trying to run my name through the mud and he doesn't even know what he is talking about. He is just talking to be talking... Like a freakin female.

All right...
Now, I thought we took care of this before. Let's give this a last run if we must.

Might also explain why the Jedi were out of game play in the first phase of the JV.

The big raffle saw a huge amount of rez coming to the Jedi ranks and the guys being real life Jedi we had a good number of winners also in the following draw.

They had already started sharing all of this rez with some of the smaller members of the Alliance when we came upon the series of huge DFs left in G8. Some got to land their Hephs right on them. I put a MAC on a big one.

The rest is history. As we got more an more rez, we started sending it to all the members of our alliance. Called it the rez palooza. We sent some and then some more... till all the guys were going Dmode. Or Should have.

That is how and why when the first phase of the JV started I was Dmode myself dealing with Quads to FRS... and most of the Jedi should have gone dmode also. Obviously some did not and when Justice hunted he got one of them.

Took me a week and a half to get out of dmode and join in the JV.

Are we all settle now?

Justice was hunting, he got a good target.

If he had dumped rez on one of us, you really think Scott and I wouldn't be here singing it?
Come on...

K

Nothing to do the res thing.  That was over ages ago!   But that player could not have gone into dip mode!?

For the first week of the war he was one of only 3 jedi active out of an alliance of 85.  3 active players was the minimum requirement.

Wish there had of been more of you :)

Davies, from what I see that is the ONLY thing that I see, as far as other complaints, not one that I can control has been spoken of and nobody wants to speak up now that I am confronting the accusation. If YOU can say thats not the problem, tell me what the problem(s) is. Hopefully I don't have to wait another 24 hrs for someone to come up with some BS to say.

bit of a joke innit pal.
you try your best to set up something and have fun.
but some people resort to name calling and allsorts of personal insults.
people need to remember it is just a game and someone has to win and someone else has to lose.

Sorry justice,  I thought that we'd agreed in the first round thread to get back to the game and carry with the tournament in the best spirit of the game.    That's what I've done.   As far as I was concerned it was long in the past.  I've made no complaints or said anything to anyone,  here or anywhere else!
Title: Re: 2nd JV Tournament Rd. 2 (COLD, RgC, Mongols and Time)

I'd also like to add as I've just realized it's not been said by us, that we appreciate that you have put on this tournament! And thank you for your efforts!

I have so much going on personally in RL that I would never be able to take on that burden!

You asked for alliances to step up to the plate,  which RgC has done.  We have no complaints and have enjoyed the experience, as we had no idea how we would do having never thought a war.   It has been a great learning experience for us!

So justice, on behalf of RgC I'd  like to say thank you!

You are welcome Davies, but I will say this. I know for a fact that Bloody Nine has a problem with me and he is spreading/speaking ill of me. I have blocked him in game because he couldn't seem to curve the ish talking and I couldn't deal with it at the time. Tell him to come and say what he has to say now on this thread before we close it out and start another thread for the finals. I don't have a problem with facts, good or bad... I do have a problem with ppl speaking ill of me just for the sake of spreading rumors, so I'm calling him out by name because I know for a fact that he was talking on behalf of himself. Now is his opportunity to speak his mind while my back isn't turned. If he doesn't respond, I will leave it alone. I don't like the whole internet thug thing... I just wanted to play my game, but what I hate more than internet thugs and gangsters is lady boys that have a problem STFU and staying in their lane.
