Original Universe / The last post
« on: June 13, 2012, 11:13:07 PM »
It is time for me to go. I have said it before but this time I am leaving the game for good. I have been here three years, being recruited by Rish when I tipped him off about a big inactive. I told him one day I would lead UNIMAT0 and he laughed.
I am proud in three years NO PLAYER ever has landed a successful attack on any of my planets or moons. I was ninja'd once by Iron Lynx because I got delayed by a distressed client and only got to monitor the attack/debris field two minutes to late. He then became my mentor and best friend ever in this game and sent me resources to rebuild my fleet as he felt guilty. My God we had fun in those days ambushing Hephs as they never thought we were allies. I reached an all time high of rank 9, the highest ever ranked player in UNIMAT0 and also became leader.
I want to thank Iron Lynx form his skill and wisdom, friendship and help.
Elnino, D'deridex deserve thanks for all the fun we had in pre-compression and the continued friendship afterwards.
Greedy scallywag pirate for all the fun and friendship we had post-compression in G24
Got2Btru, one of the most genuine players in the game and a good friend. Shame we could not work together more. Hope you make a full recovery.
Honad Fujiwara for his insight, leadership, and handing me the reins when he left.
Phoenix for all the tip offs.
The Grinch for entertaining me, and I was the one that got away.
Captain Blackbeard for his genuine care and a master of diplomacy.
Kaisor soze, always around looking for targets and making the first moon near one of my planets. I was mad at him that day.
I have always tried to be an honest player and getting suspended recently for basically a retirement party was a blow but the real blow came from the introduction of planet hopping. That was the killer for me. I want to thank WGW for his real genuine efforts to get the decision reversed.
I can leave the game with my head held high, proud and with a very good record.  Although I never crossed swords with many of you, SFCO has held many good memories.
For those of you I worked with and have not mentioned, I apologise, but most of my original friends have left. Some have died in RL. I wish you all the best of luck and a long and prosperous life. After all its just a game, but not like any I have ever played or will again.

Original Universe / UNIMAT0 is looking for merger/s and new members.
« on: February 18, 2012, 12:36:06 PM »
The game is in a mess. With most of the bigger alliances running with only about one quarter of their members actively participating we think it would be a good idea to have a merger or mergers with some smaller and maybe bigger alliances to get the threads active and make it more interesting. If we cant hit targets then at least we can have a laugh. If you are interested please contact Excellium at UNIMAT. While your at it, look at our recruitment video and have a laugh too.

Alliances / UNIMAT0 is recruiting

We need more members. I am sure all the alliances are the same but the bigger ones although large in number are small in participants. You dont have to be a fleeter, some experience is good but not essential, d mode is fine if thats the way you play. What we do ask is that you participate in the threads and join in the community with some input. To see our recruitment video go to;
and have a good laugh.
Contact Excellium for application.

UNIMAT is recruiting members. The only proviso we like is that you join in. You dont have to be a fleeter, just have a willingness to share and be part of the community. With the game in such a mess, the more the merrier. Contact Excellium.

Not a very good day today. Just took this from our boards. This is NOT from me;

For any who know him I received this just a few minutes ago:

It is with a heavy heart that I must report that the Mechanic, the leader of Sirius Tau system & a longtime ally to the Grey Wolves, has died earlier today. Andrea Tepal, his wife in real life, reported this tragic news to me a few hours ago.

The Mechanic was a great person & a great player, & this is the absolute worst way to see someone leave the game. I never really knew a lot about his personal life outside the game, but I sincerely hope Andrea has a lot of loving support at home to help her recover as best as anyone can hope to do from such a tragic loss.

At this time, I would like to ask a personal favor of all my allies. Please do not attack the members of Sirius Tau system during this time of mourning. I hope you will show them all the respect they deserve, & allow them to grieve in peace. They have lost a great friend, & in Andrea's case, I suspect the best friend she has ever known. Andrea, you have my deepest sympathy.

Words can not express the feelings. "Loss leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory
no one can steal." Lost our son in 2009. If you ever need a chat, you know where I am. ex

I think as a rank 14 and someone who has an extensive buddy list, vast experience at this game (3 years) ex big alliance leader, (gave that up because i am giving up on the game) I have something to say. I dont often come on here, and got my last post deleted because as a joke i offered my fleet (5 atlas) for sale at 1000 dollars because selling accounts is now getting rife just for the DSP rather than account buying.
YOU ARE ALL WASTING YOUR TIME. The vote on the ihoppers proved it. BFG claim they listen to us and they claim they dont want to unbalance the game. ugh!!! Well then please tell me why the top 9 players all ihop and they are a law unto their own with a seperate agenda and leaders list. THAT HAS unbalanced the game very badly, however those that ihop cant see that the top 9 wont change rank because they all ihop.
At rank 14 I have roughly 24m points. Kenneth has 70m+. Put that into perspective.
It has taken me three years to get to where i am.
If Kenneth was to retire now, it would take me 2-3 years to catch him. IF ihopping was now stopped immediately he could have a whole year off without losing the number one position.
Thats madness.
To play a game as far as i am concerned the idea is to be competitive, gain the best level, beat your opponents, and win.
NOT POSSIBLE any more in sfc original any more.
All BFG will do with this thread is gain ideas for yet another version of the game and you can go jump in the lake. They dont care.
Get real, Matt will probably chuck this off, sending me yet another message saying it was not "on topic" or some other political correct crap.
He has already said he will cull it, the sheer amount of reaction should tell them something, but when money is the key, nothing matters.

As a high ranking player, 14 when I last looked, never been suspended, planet hopped just twice, once strategically, and just once for an id as I had spare credits from ages ago. I started playing SDE, it lasted two weeks. It has taken blood, sweat and tears to get to where I am. I have no wish whatsoever to start again. The time and effort involved in what I have accomplished is enough. If BFG think for one second I would start again, think on.
I have already cut playing times down as there are no feasible targets and if they do turn up, they are hopper hijacked. Live targets are almost impossible to find. The green things are worse than farmville.

General Starfleet Discussion / Now its getting ridiculous
« on: January 10, 2012, 01:46:42 AM »
Many of you would already be aware of my strong vote and campaign against ihoppers. OK subject closed, BFG ignored the vote but i bet they are not now aware of whats going on now behind the scenes.
Before i go any further YES i have relinquished leadership of UNIMAT0 to another member. To many rumours abound these threads. YES, i am leaving but when i leave and how i leave will remain for me to decide and at the moment i am active and still attacking and am aware of whats going on around me. My ALMOST alliance wide mole intel system continues.
Not happy with ihopping the game has degenerated even further. Yes BFG, i now have proof those so desperate for DSP, are not now buying accounts to blow up ships, but outrageously buying the right to blow up the ships and letting the account holder keep the account. 450 dollars was the latest offer to blow up a sub 50 players ships by another sub 50 player. You know who you are as you are a regular poster on here.
This is no longer a game, its a farce.......................................

Original Universe / Re: NPC's??
« on: January 05, 2012, 09:44:43 PM »
The NPC's have become boring to me already. Its like playing farmville. I chuck Hades at anything under tech level 10,  and lose nothing, at above 10 if no Plasma i use the same tactics. If there are Plasmas i use Proms at 5 systems and under. The rest i leave. Other real targets are now becoming impossible to find, and if you do find a decent one an ihopper is there in an instant. I had four sub 1000 players taken from me in a week during Christmas by ihoppers. All targets that normally would have been mine. Live targets are rarer than ever, and the heph is now almost unusable.

All of mine work fine.

Biggest, as in single player destruction.
