I personally think that hiring the new Matt  was the best decision BFG has made in a long time.
He is has got to be the most devoted employee. Ive seen him answer questions as late as 11:30 pm.
Im sure im not alone with this opinion?

How to Fleetsave    less than a minute ago
To: ***************
It's important to fleetsave by sending your ships off-planet when you are not playing. Otherwise, they risk being destroyed if your planet is attacked. The most common way to fleetsave is to use a Harvest mission and schedule the return time so that your ships arrive back at your planet when you're ready to play again.

Feature Suggestions / A few Simple Changes to the alliance

Here is a list of simple fixes I think should be implemented into the game to improve the user experience.

1.
Changing the stylesheet so that stickied officer topics are represented by the red instead of the teal like normal stickied topics are.

Extremely easy to add. Just 2 lines of code in the CSS Style sheet.

I want to see a new settings tab instead of the recruitment and change leader tab.


 
  • The ability to change the alignment of the Forum.
  • The ability to toggle if members coordinates are displayed on the member list.
  • The ability to choose if you want confirm delete messages for all tasks regarding the alliance.
  • The ability to choose if your officers names are displayed on the alliance front recruitment page.
  • The ability to show new relation requests just like new member requests are displayed.
  • And finally the ability to write a notification to all alliance members, similar to the ones posted by BFG ingame.

I discussed this with the panel months back and most thought it had potential.
I saw a similar idea posted here yesterday so im going to bring it to a vote.

Current Problem with the Heph

  • Many players get their heph locked down and decide to send their ships off in space so no one gets them.

Proposed Solution

  • Make it so that all deployments complete after the heph is destroyed.

Details
  • After a heph is destroyed that still has deployments in process, it would be marked and replaced by an icon on a ghost heph that could be oracled from anywhere in the galaxy
  • Players could still colonize the slot where the ghost heph is present.
  • The ghost heph would disappear when the deployment is completed.
  • A new heph can not be built until the ghost heph disappears.
  • The deployment can not be recalled.

Advantages
  • Less fleets lost in space.
  • More massive battles
  • More strategy
  • More fun

Disadvantages
  • Less big battles on the heph itself  
  • Makes the heph a little more powerful
  • Could be possibly hard to implement

Summary
This would allow players a second chance to save their ships. But it would also most likely guarantee the owner to be oracle locked on his deployment. On longer deployments it would create a lot more action as both sides scramble to get together massive GD and GAs.

I want to thank Jen for helping me kill the heph, and I want to give a special thanks to Kip Shiller for providing me with useful tips and making sure the hit went off with out a problem.


No real story for this one. I was just scrolling through the systems when I saw Bulldogs heph sitting completely dark. So I probe, and warp in what fleet I had available. Unfortunately a major chunk of my fleet was tied up somewhere else.
Anyways as you can see the heph survived do to the fact that I didn't send any proms.

This is a great account for pretty much any player. It has possibly the strongest fleet in the universe. Mines that are goof for a top 30 player and research that is decent. Lots of room on all planets for expansion! Enough defenses to keep away dready and the rest of the raiders for up to 48 hours!

General Starfleet Discussion / Shipyard Lag Fix

I want to discuss possible solutions for fixing this problem. It is common knowledge that the shipyard lags greatly when building ships under 1 second. It actually takes around 2 seconds to build for an item that should take 0.5.

A few ideas on how to fix this have been suggested. Such as creating a buffer, batching the ships, or even putting a minimal build time on ships. What are your thoughts on this issue.

Feature Suggestions / Slight change to Wars

Instead of simply giving 100% more DSP to anyone who is currently at war, why not create a new category called warp points. You would now get your normal amount of DSP plus another 100% going towards war points.
Instead of watering down war points by a thousand like DSP and RSP, water down war points by 1 Million. This will allow it to be  new category to brag about but not affect the overall rankings as much.

For example if I hit a fleet that was worth 100M resources I would get 100k DSP and 10k WP.
Still gives a big benefit to declare war but doesn't make it to insane.

I would like to apologize for my unfair rulings during my first attempt  at moderating these forums nearly a year ago. I let a personal issue in-game get in the way of my duties which never should have happened. I believe I have learned from my mistakes and can fairly assist in moderating these forums. Today a member of the AA alliance used a Captcha suspension in an attempt to save their fleet. It partially failed.
Still they were exploiting a bug and should be reset.

1. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. This does not mean you are allowed to express it if it's uncalled for or un-constructive.
2. Don't say anything if you don't have anything useful or nice to say. Will being a asshole to someone really help you?
3. Just because you don't like someone doesn't give you the right to go out of your way to be a prick.

Come on guys! These are the basic of the basic! So why do a large percentage of us keep breaking them? And im not saying I haven't. But at least I make an effort not to.

If we all followed the basics then our society would be a much better place.
