TWAS THE NIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS,
HE LIVED ALL ALONE,
IN A ONE BEDROOM HOUSE MADE OF
PLASTER AND STONE.

I HAD COME DOWN THE CHIMNEY
WITH PRESENTS TO GIVE,
AND TO SEE JUST WHO
IN THIS HOME DID LIVE.

I LOOKED ALL ABOUT,
A STRANGE SIGHT I DID SEE,
NO TINSEL, NO PRESENTS,
NOT EVEN A TREE.

NO STOCKING BY MANTLE,
JUST BOOTS FILLED WITH SAND,
ON THE WALL HUNG PICTURES
OF FAR DISTANT LANDS.

WITH MEDALS AND BADGES,
AWARDS OF ALL KINDS,
A SOBER THOUGHT
CAME THROUGH MY MIND.

FOR THIS HOUSE WAS DIFFERENT,
IT WAS DARK AND DREARY,
I FOUND THE HOME OF A SOLDIER,
ONCE I COULD SEE CLEARLY.

THE SOLDIER LAY SLEEPING,
SILENT, ALONE,
CURLED UP ON THE FLOOR
IN THIS ONE BEDROOM HOME.

THE FACE WAS SO GENTLE,
THE ROOM IN SUCH DISORDER,
NOT HOW I PICTURED
A MILITARY SOLDIER.

WAS THIS THE HERO
OF WHOM I'D JUST READ?
CURLED UP ON A PONCHO,
THE FLOOR FOR A BED?

I REALIZED THE FAMILIES
THAT I SAW THIS NIGHT,
OWED THEIR LIVES TO THESE SOLDIERS
WHO WERE WILLING TO FIGHT.

SOON ROUND THE WORLD,
THE CHILDREN WOULD PLAY,
AND GROWNUPS WOULD CELEBRATE
A BRIGHT CHRISTMAS DAY.

THEY ALL ENJOYED FREEDOM
EACH MONTH OF THE YEAR,
BECAUSE OF THE SOLDIERS,
LIKE THE ONE LYING HERE.

I COULDN'T HELP WONDER
HOW MANY LAY ALONE,
ON A COLD CHRISTMAS EVE
IN A LAND FAR FROM HOME.

THE VERY THOUGHT
BROUGHT A TEAR TO MY EYE,
I DROPPED TO MY KNEES
AND STARTED TO CRY.

THE SOLDIER AWAKENED
AND I HEARD A ROUGH VOICE,
"SANTA DON'T CRY,
THIS LIFE IS MY CHOICE;

I FIGHT FOR FREEDOM,
I DON'T ASK FOR MORE,
MY LIFE IS MY GOD,
MY COUNTRY, MY CORPS."

THE SOLDIER ROLLED OVER
AND DRIFTED TO SLEEP,
I COULDN'T CONTROL IT,
I CONTINUED TO WEEP.

I KEPT WATCH FOR HOURS,
SO SILENT AND STILL
AND WE BOTH SHIVERED
FROM THE COLD NIGHT'S CHILL.

I DIDN'T WANT TO LEAVE
ON THAT COLD, DARK, NIGHT,
THIS GUARDIAN OF HONOR
SO WILLING TO FIGHT.

THEN THE SOLDIER ROLLED OVER,
WITH A VOICE SOFT AND PURE,
WHISPERED, "CARRY ON SANTA,
IT'S CHRISTMAS DAY, ALL IS SECURE."

ONE LOOK AT MY WATCH,
AND I KNEW HE WAS RIGHT.
"MERRY CHRISTMAS MY FRIEND,
AND TO ALL A GOOD NIGHT."

So a few tournaments ago,  Old Scotty tried sat bashing one of my freshly moved planets (yes .. he contests this)  but .. that added him to my "one day" list .... so, in my Irish German way (Latin for stubborn and vindictive) I waited patiently.  Then a few days ago, Based On decides to hit one of my mates for a athena build down in g8, And I thought well... lets just drop a rock in there and see what happens!

Been watching and waiting, waiting and watching, then I get a PM while I was in a meeting from Crazy Ivan (ty bud!) that old Scotty was dark, accounted for, and and available!  So  I probed em, and sure enuff.. there it sits! 30+ minutes later, Scotty and I became even for his former offense (though contested). The rest is SFCO History as he took the big dive ....

Had this crazy ass idea!!  SFCO Tournament (after the JV is over)  HIGHLANDER STYLE! Heres the idea ...

"X"  (3 player) teams are formed (as alliances) from RANDOM DRAWINGS of all participant names(highest ranking will be team captain)! In the event there are not enough players to form the final team, those players have the option of fighting  - with a reincarnation pass issued for every missing member, awarded to the player(s) eliminated in the order they were killed. Each pass good only for 1 reincarnation, passes cannot be transferred to other players!

The rules -
1. Everybody declares war on everybody. (just to make the pretty red screens)

2. No hits less than 10M points count. Any player hit for 10M points or more in a single attack is eliminated! 

    A. The loser of any attack will be classified as the player taking the most damage. So if player A attacks player B, hit him for 50M points, and loses 45M doing it - only player B is eliminated.

    B. Same rules apply for GA and GD's, however ... if a group attacks player A, and he wins the attack per the rules, ALL players in the GA losing more than 10M are eliminated. If the entire team is lost, the player leading the attack will be considered to have survived, surrender all reaming wars, and await the gathering!

3. No P, V, or D modes - drop a marker - eliminated!

4. Once a team is down to 1 player, that team retires, surrenders all remaining wars and sits out the round

5. If the final surviving team has more than 1 player, SUDDEN DEATH! Those players fight it out until there is one!

6. A reincarnation pass is issued for every THREE people you eliminate from the tournament

7. The Gathering - all remaining single players from the first round battle it out in a free for all! 10M point rules apply. Last warrior standing is the GALACTIC WINNER! No second place, all reincarnation passes become invalid, 1 winner. THERE CAN BE ONLY ONE!

8. Group attacks? FINE! Group Defends - FINE! Involving more than 1 team - FINE!

9. Got an asshat on your team?  So kill em! hit em for 10m and hes OUTTA THERE!

10. Once a player is eliminated from play, he/she must leave the group immediately.

Let's be totally honest here... put our cards RIGHT on the table! The posting stated:

"This weekend an error occurred with Super Rewards which allowed several users to purchase credits at an exploitive rate. To maintain the integrity of the game as a whole, users who took advantage of this error will have their accounts reset and will be awarded credits at the standard rate (as if purchased directly from us) plus an additional bonus for lost time. If you have any questions, you may contact support."

Now the truth of the matter is BFG posted credits for sale IN GAME at a rate other than they normally post them for.  20+ players bought those credits.  And as a result of players BUYING CREDITS at what YOU posted them for sale at,  they all got their accounts reset. So be it .. your game BFG.... do as you wish.  But those credits were available to ALL PLAYERS, and they were OPENLY POSTED for sale.

So I guess I am saying the least you could do is not try to paint the people who bought credits from you at your posted rates as villians...

OK .. so its tedious as hell merch,lift, merch, lift, merch lift ...

So make it easy on us BFG!! Give us a merchant multiplier .. simply put,  we can have the merchant perform the same trade "X" times! Easy ti implement, you click on his link, a pop up appears with a drop down selector .. say .. 1-25, we pick a number, say 10 .. it responds with "This will cost 50,000 credits .. continue?"  we hit yes.... and wala! It makes 10 trades.

Easy as hell to implement,and I should think profitable for da frog!! WIN WIN WIN!!!

With 15 total tickets  - Nova is the next universe to have its raffle! I have reactivated my acct in Nova for this raffle,and will put her into a 30 day Pmarker. before the raffle to distribute resources from. BFG is supporting us by moving the prizes to the winners after the raffle!

There is a player in this game who's rl spouse has been diagnosed with Cancer. The family needs help in a most serious way, not only for treatments outside of insurance coverage, but just in living day to day.

We have all had our ups and downs, sidefights and bitter diatribes, but when the chips are down, this group of players are the closest in any game I have ever been involved in.

So I ask you .. if the top players in each uni would donate a substantial resource package to the highest donation  - whos game to get involved here? Would there be any interest? The donations would all be handled by a verified non profit fund raising website. My thoughts are simple - the donators just put the initials for the uni they are donating for .... ie  SFCO  EX1  EX2 etc after their names ....  we will collect the prize lists, and then we will RAFFLE off the resource packages!! Any donation of $25 or more can win!!  and a player can buy as many tickets as they want, they will get 1 ticket for each $25 donation!! 

The raffle will be handled on LIVE VIDEO,  and recorded for all to see from the placing of the names into the hopper to the actuall drawing!

Since most players in most developed unis are way past maxed out on arcnet, and even the building of higher labs does not really give you the ability to get higher research done in any kind of decent timeframe .. how about this?

Allow Arcnet to lap back over!

Example:
Arcnet as it stands:
ARCNet will automatically use the highest available Research Lab Level to help decrease times. (up to level 8 then useless as you have all 9 labs running)

Sooo.. let it lap over!! Arcnet 9  uses all current labs PLUS the highest x2, 10 = plus2 labs etc -

Perhaps also allow some kind of moon build that would shorten the build times, or at least reduce the times to build lunar base and cap on moons .. if I wanted to build my next moon base in SFCO by example ...

a mere 6553:36:0 hours or  9 months - anybody say ridiculous!!  :P

Given the sheer amounts needed in now every uni .....

1. Increase storage levels on all levels by 15%
2. Increase Logistics Expert to 3 levels from the current 2
3. Increase Heph conversion limits
4. Change Moons so they mirror the storage level on the planet and merchant is available again (kinda stoopid to move it back and around)


Just saying!!!  I bet you would see more activity outta this!
