Matt- With our new leaderboard system from the last few uni's excluding crew rank, can we see it removed from our profile pages too?
maybe replace it with achievement rank on our profile, since achievement rank IS still also on the leaderboards?

Please copy/paste and update with each new victory/loss and otherwise keep it a read only thread..

thinking about going back to SFCO. I know i would never get to the top but could be fun to have an SFC game to play in between the other uni's.
any alliance willing to have me?

Matt, any clues as to when the next uni will come, and what it will be like?

another totally new thing? an extreme version of Eradeon?
a re-vamped version of guns with more functional terry's?

I do love eradeon, and might even continue playing this one after the next uni comes out for once, but..
nothing excites me like the first month of a new uni :D

Feature Suggestions / Workers and Factory pages!

so, when building up a planet i often find myself going back and forth between the worker and Factory pages to see which droids i need, and then to build them, and then back again to assign them.

my suggestion is to combine these two tabs, in future unis. allowing us to both build and assign our workers from the same page.

Well, for the last several days ive been thinking of quitting the uni out of boredom..and was just trying to thinkn of a good way to go out with a bang! well, i didnt get the bang i wanted..instead i fell asleep, and Nard seized the opportunity, and created a different bang.. lol nice hit! and see you all in the next uni :P

so..realistically, when a sensor is upgraded, it not only is able to get more info, but also to see further!
my idea, which i think is cool and realistic for esp is..

Currently..someone launches an attack, and you see it right away but..

what if,
initially youd only see a fleet when it was 80% of the way to its destination...and each level of ESP researched gave you a 5% bonus there as well?

say someone launches from an hour and 40 minutes away..
lvl 0 ESP..you see it 20 minutes away!
lvl 1 ESP..25 minutes away..
lvl 5 ESP.. 45 minutes away..
lvl 10 ESP.. 1 hour 10 minutes away..
alllllll the way up to level 16 ESP, which would allow a person to see the incoming attack as soon as it was launched..

thoughts?

I took a break off from SFC and dropped all of my existing accounts for the summer, just checked in on the forum today for the first time in months and saw a new uni launched TODAY! so i figured I'd come back and give it a try now that school is back in session and things have slowed down for me again(:

If youre willing to give this Uni a try WITH me, join the Fight Club and lets rule the cosmos together!

just some different ideas listed in the forum that i agree with, compiled in to one thread.

1)Ship Speeds..can we see 1% variables for the bottom 10%?
Would inspire more active play(less diplomacy/vacation/neutrality mode), with more FRS options.

2)Launching attacks on people in D/V/P mode. They obviously couldnt LAND if they were in the mode still at the time of the attack, but would add another element to the game as far as timed attacks go.

3)5 minute build completes in ALL uni's. wont make much of a difference for long time players, but would help new players out to get started more easily.

4)SALES?! every business owner knows that reducing prices on certain items, for certain periods of time, will actually result in an increase in revenue..

5)Research labs on moons. Sure, they would be expensive to build as far as lunar base and time for completion..but, especially in SFCO, well worth it to cut down on the techs that are running in the THOUSANDS of hours.

6)Fuel economy tech..maybe too late to implement in current uni's, but would be a great addition to any new ones!(or, from what i hear, in conquest!)

7)Notes: a tab for notes IN game(i know i know..theres always paper and pencil but youre not always playing from home). Wouldnt need to take up much space, maybe a 500 word MAX for each player?

8)Commas..in the ship input box..i cant tell you how many ships have been lost due to the incorrect amount of 0's being added..

9)Probe interception debris..its minimal, useless, and really ugly on the galaxy page..

10)Self espionage..can we please ESP ourselves for easier input in to battlementat? such a hassel having alliance mates do it for you..

11)Missile attacks on NPC's..why cant we?

12)War options.. we can set Dmode limiters, points needed to win etc..but can we see a few more options? the ability to turn the RSP portion off and make it ALL about the DSP? Pmode limiter? a set DAY the war would be over, whoever is in the lead being the winner automatically?

Feature Suggestions / SFCO Build Completions

One thing that was awesome, first in HG and then in Uni 3, was the free completion of builds under 5 minutes.

Is there any chance BFG could implement this in to existing uni's, such as Original?

Long time players could use it to save 5 minutes here, five minutes there..

But the main reason being, as far as bringing people BACK to the uni, and for those like myself who are starting over there, it makes the initial buildup a lot more attractive, and saves at LEAST a few hours any time a player colonizes a new planet.

as some have already probably noticed, ive left the game, and it really is for good this time.
I might check in on the forums every once in a while to be a troll(LOL) but RL is just getting to be too good to miss and i honestly dont have the time for the game anymore!

Id just like to thank all the players who were with me in one alliance or another for being such awesome team mates!
Id also like to thank all the other players who made the game more interesting as well, and thank you to BFG for giving me something to do when i had nothing else going on in my life.

Best of luck to all..may the Debris Clouds be massive and the hunting be happy(:

this one might be good, especially in uni's where there is no warp capability(like uni 3?)

Fuel Efficiency tech. "Eco Boost"

Requirements:
All speed techs(jet, pulse warp and ftl) at level 10.
AI 10
Energy 12

Description: Each level of this tech will decrease each ships base fuel cost by 5%.

Make it somewhat expensive to research, combined with high tech requirements, will make it somewhat difficult to develop this tech, especially early on, but when the fleets start getting massive, it might be worth it!
Hydro cost on it would be high, but the return in hydro savings would eventually make it worthwhile..
