  Spartan Alliance

We, do hereby band together, to form the Spartan Alliance in an effort to establish, foster and develop the mutual respect; defense and economic cooperation between all members of the Alliance. We do state that these words shall govern us, and that all persons in membership within said Alliance will adhere to them.
   
      Membership      
In order to promote the healthy well being and general image of the Spartan Alliance, a standard must be met when accepting any new member into the Alliance. The member must not be in Diplomacy mode and must be in general good conduct at all times before and after their acceptance. 

There will be a High Council with 6 members who lead the Alliance.
The leader is the administrator of the Alliance. The leader will bring all issues to the Council.  The Council will oversee all violations of rules and make final judgment.  The leader cannot over ride councilís ruling. Only in a tie will the leader make the tie breaker.

Members shall not enter into Diplomacy (d) or Neutrality mode (p) except for illness or work related and at no time for more than 30 days. Members must PM an officer to explain any use of D or V modes. The use of P mode for 24 Hrs or less is permitted for use in place of FS. Vacation mode for 30-45 days or longer with Council approval.

Gold level players offer 50% of their attacks as group attacks (GA) to the membership. The game limits GAs to 6 members. I suggest offering GA to blue level players to add 1 probe to assist their advancement. 

Forming Sectors of alliance members to facilitate GD and trades. Does not have to all be in the same system but close. I have Systems every 6 galaxies (G1, 6, 12, 18 & 24) this is not a requirement but it fosters game play.

Any blue level player will be mentored by a Gold level player. Blue level players are probates until reaching Gold level play and would have to be voted in by leadership.

No Gold members attack any blue level player, except inactive players.

 We should be defenders against bullies. I do not wish to say members can not attack other players that deserve it. 

We do not need big numbers of membersí just active players. All members must contribute in the forums, trading and game play generally.

I do not see any purpose to a level 2 on a lunar dock other than to waste resources. Am I missing something?

I have a member asking if the moon will also move if he does a planet move. Sure dont want to lose a moon and gate and dock to learn.

Greetings ,
 I couldn't help but notice you do not belong to alliance at this time.

I am AL Muad'Dib, The Ambassador of the Sons of Dune alliance. We are based upon the novel by Frank Herbert. We have many friendly NAPsí (non aggression pact) allies and very few enemies. We practice resource trade and lending and we like to help our alliance members grow quickly with any assistance they might need. We have large fleets at our outposts throughout the known galaxies.  There is strength in numbers. We can assist and support as you grow in the game. We do not shun players below any game rank. Everyone was new at one time.   

Dark Zero is the Naib (leader) of the Sons Of Dune alliance which was founded on: 2010-01-11
To join, simply swing by the Naibs system for a visit @ ‎[12:181:2] click on the Dune tag and fill out the application to join.

I hopefully look forward to growing in the universe together.

Our Alliance the (Sons of Dune) will be happy to have any other Alliance merge with us but, we do not make it a condition of this confederation. We would never be so audacious to presume that one Alliance is better or has a superior group of members to instruct another alliance in their beliefs as a group. All we would ask is that as a member of a confederation we support and defend fellow confederation members. How they run their alliance is their business. We would ask that all members refrain from attacking any other alliance without first working with the confederation council which would consist of one member from each member alliance.

This is the concept we have devised and would be open to refinement.

It would be another step beyond NAP to agree to defend and develop the Mutual aid pact. Attack one and you attack all. This way smaller Alliances can form a united front and combine their strengths

Besides Non-aggression packs I would venture developing a mutual aid pack and or confederation where each alliance maintains their own alliance but also belongs to the confederation to which will render support, mutual aid as in group defends and Intel gathering. Using the facebook page for sharing Intel and assistance beyond the messaging of the game. Having a confederation of alliances to support and defend each other would enable the smaller and newer alliances a fighting chance from the bigger groups that hunt in packs.

Thanks for the thoughts. the ROI is the reasoning I was seeking. So if FRS correctly and with modest planetary defenses there would be no reason to even consider attacking a almost empty planet. I was thinking of the Zeus for the defense on the HEP since it does not have any other than the ships on board and with 6K proms it would be at least something. And to FRS the HEP so it would not be seen much anyway other than to keep the attack fleet where it needs to be. With Warp gates it helps to use as a Deterrent in support of alliance members.

Really? since it takes around 100 Proms for 1 Zeus I dont see how you could even think 60 for a HEP unless it is void of any ships at all. My AWS is at 16 now and with 10 Zeus and not counting the proms and Hadies I believe it would take a bit more than 60 proms.

My question was building Zeus or Proms in general.

Well then it is better to have planetary defenses because it makes it less attractive target and keep the 10 Zeus on the HEP. Now the question is that it takes 80 Proms to 1 Zeus in cost but 100 Proms to equal in power the Zeus. So the Proms are better for attacking and the Zeus for defenses on HEP.

I know we all have a different Idea of how to build but my question is:
I was thinking about building at least one Zeus for each planet and 6+ for the HEP or build more proms and keep the Zeus mainly on the HEP since planets have defenses.
it is around 80 Proms for one Zeus. It also looks like 1 Zeus is the same cost as 100 Plasma Cannon but the Zeus has allot more attack for the equal amount. So a Zeus is better for defense when added to the total for the cost.
Any thoughts?
