although this is a pointless discussion and bfg likely wont consider it anyway, I must point out that attempting to patronise someone with use of language works better if you have a basic grasp of the mechanics of the english language. That way you wont make yourself look stupid with your own comment.

'Transport' implies 'being moved', not moving independently. You transport resources, for example, with ships. They don't transport themselves.

Here you go, buddy...

Transport: 1.
take or carry (people or goods) from one place to another

I understand the game mechanics very well and I am quite familiar with the intentions of bfg. basically, game credits define their policy, not game consistency. If you want to go around in circles splitting hairs over bs then fill your boots.

moved, not move - passive, object ie the ships were moved through the warp gates

to be + past participle

4
size range of NPC based on the uni's average fleet rank? that might work. anything would be better than the current implementation.

commander abad. Your interpretation has already been debunked. I have no idea why you insist on beating a dead horse. The ships don't 'move' - end of. This is both from a game mechanic point of view as well as a scientific one. A planet will also show activity when a ship falls out of he ship yard of you know what page to leave open.

there is no eta and also there is 0 hydrogen consumption. This is a bug, albeit not one that I care about, though just reporting it to make bfg aware. There is nothing to discuss here. Bug has been reported. Now it is a case of whether or not bfg see it as such or care to correct it.

Have a nice day

How do you think they move thru the gate, Grace, 'Magic Fairy Dust' ..... *facepalm*

Shmuck !!! .... go n play with your Barbie Dolls !!!!

is there an ETA provided by the game when the warp gate is selected? Didn't think so

Feature Suggestions / Re: Abundance of Resources

the basis of the idea is good.

one planet should be a regular planet as a homeworld with the rest of them being temporary colonies with finite resources as you described.

that and capping the NPCs at mine levels would make the game more balanced and competitive.

9
excellent thread, mate. good that someone else also recognises the problems with NPCs. Your ideas are heading in the right direction but why not just cap them at mine levels?

pretty obvious that the fleet is stationary while it is moved (not moving) through a warp gate.

bug - end of

@ The Necromancer

This is an open message to BFG regarding the best way to implement NPCs, not a general suggestion thread.

Capped NPCs didn't work

yes, they did. They worked brilliantly. They provided a means of kickstarting teh game without making it the focus of the game. They might not have worked in your whiny opinion for teh very reasons stated above. If you want to grow and develop then you should be hitting players, not NPCs. You are a prime example of a whiny self oriented opinion with no regard for teh good of the game in general.

There is no need to come up with a solution here, The solution was already in effect in the past. What is required is to revert back to 'the solution' before whiny self oriented opinions like yours started influencing the direction of the game and screwing it up.

If you want to play checkers, then play checkers and dont insist that the rules of chess be dumbed down  for your shortcomings.

How is it self preserving. I pointed out two unis which fit your alleged requirements for a uni. But who are we kidding. Your preferred play style is posting shit against bfg.

what are you blind or illiterate? you ask for capped NPCs you get no NPCs. You ask again for capped NPCs you get dumb wormhole NPCs. I think I made my point quite clearly that it is better for the game with capped NPCs.
