BFG login says over 4,000 players in uni 3.  Leader boards say 192.  What a difference.  BFG should be pushing for new players, not trying to push into ever more universes. 
If an account is passed on, it saves the game a little, if it goes POOF! it kills the game a little IMHO.

Never had spyware from openparser, and I use it daily for uni 3 and SFCO.  Don't use Norton it is a resource hog.  Free one I like Antivir, and supplied by my ISP is Zone Alarm Suite.

It would be super to have Thanatos in the original uni.  More powerful and sturdier than our beloved Prometheus, faster than the mighty Zeus, it has become my go-to ship in uni 3.

If you realy only send 100 Tritons, it serves you right if you lose 6 of them and salvage a dinky little ship.  At least send 1,000, you will salvage a few ships of varying value.  I get some worthwhile ships every time, and the hydro to send them is nothing when you are sending them with a fleet of hundreds of thousands of battleships.

Does anybody have any idea why the bashing rule applies to attacks on inactives?  Seems pretty stupid, why should a player who has not come back to the game be protected in that manner?

Who, other than a real rank newbie, would hit this?  And some days I have 2 or 3 like this in my system!   I hate having to waste the time to probe something this useless.  And no, it wasn't bigger until it was hit, it is a recent spawn.

I always send them on NPC attacks, and salvage a mix of low value and high value ships.  Do not send less than 1,000 to ensure some capitol ships brought back.

Yes, you can nuke as often as you want as fast as you can build nukes, you can even threaten to annihilate every defence a player has without being at war.  It doesn't count as harassment, and it doesn't count in the limited number of attacks you can launch in a given time period.
I had a player decide I offended him who launched thousands of missilles at me, he tracked all my planets in 3 systems and was going to eliminate every defence I had because I had the "audacity" to ninja an attack fleet.  BFG is totally fine with that kind of attack.

Seems to me the announcements need to be updated.  Lately I click on news because there is occasionally that symbol that says something new is there, and the latest is still the Terraform sale that has been over for more than 2 months.
32 pages of announcements in 2 years, and not a single new one this year, seems about time to put something on sale.

All work for the DAL01 scheduled network maintenance has completed, all affected SAN based CCI and VPX instance are online and this window is now closed. There is no further scheduled disruption planned as part of this work. If you are continuing to have network connectivity issues for servers in DAL01, please contact our support department via ticket or chat so that your issue can be investigated.

I still am ticked we weren't notified, when the maintenance was scheduled a couple of weeks ago.

I wonder, does that mean BFG is now doing maintenance AFTER we waited for SoftLayer to finish?  Bugger!

If BFG doesn't actually stop player attacks for the 24 hours they suggest, I stand to lose a lot of ships in 3 universes, and I imagine there are a LOT of players in the same boat.  That would effectively kill the games.  I am suspicious of the phrase "will likely prevent attacks against players for a 24 hour period", and question why we can't attack NPCs, build ships, upgrade buildings, etc after sitting patiently through the forced shutdown.

About now is when my fleets should be coming back, but a couple were dispatched to my moons just before this stupid shutdown, so I will lose the opportunity for several hundred thousand in DSP, unless I want to get no sleep.
A little notice would have been nice, since SoftLayer had maintenance planned, it isn't as if the server farm exploded unexpectedly.
