Feature Suggestions / Re: Fuel Usage

Well that thread just supplies theories at to why it may be, it still makes little sense and discourages attacks. Poor show by the programmers

Feature Suggestions / Fuel Usage
« on: June 07, 2010, 04:04:33 PM »
I know it's been mentioned before but it's totally illogical that if you send out an attack and recall 2 minutes later due to them being home that all your hydrogen is used up.

How could it be? It makes no sense and doesn't encourage attacking play. Why not just work it out as a percentage and return the un burn/reacted fuel to the planet of origin.

E.g

Target Planet 20 mins away
Total Hydo cost 20,000
Fleet recalled after 2 mins journey time
Total Unused fuel (minus return leg of 2 mins) = 16,000 Hydro

I would surely supply you with that alliance. Kill Switch Clan would be glad to have you! We are strong and growing. If you have any questions feel free to contact me!

Do you mind if I ask what makes you different? What does the Kill Switch Clan stand for?

Alliances / Looking for an Honourable Alliance?
« on: May 26, 2010, 10:09:08 AM »
I'm a top 1000 player and I've become bored of joining various small alliances that have little to no activity lest any chance of a group attack.

I know there are a lot of dishonourable alliances out there but I'm looking for one that stands for good in the universe and doesn't slow attack, pick on people without reason etc etc.

Any advice would be great,

Thanks

Extreme Universe / Re: The new moon poll

I am plenty busy man, a girlfriend, a mistress, 2 grandkids, a pool league, nephews and neices who play basketball and soccer that I like to go watch.

Whilst I realise this may impress the guys down at Trek Fest I'm afraid we've encountered ambidextrous people before. Nice try though

Does the size of the debris field relate to the size of the moon itself?

I can see becoming a massicists could be a mission select.. people asking there friends to attack them just to build moons.. all very interesting... no new tech for original starfleet..does this mean they are abandoning it.. no upgrades planned? Game will get stagnant!

It already is stagnant, went back and looked just now, 50-70% of them are Dip now, it's dead - there are just a lot of people who can't hack starting again which I can kind of understand

There are now moons in the new game, are there any in the old version?

Can anyone explain exactly how they work?

Original Universe / Re: The BIG BANG - for those who want to quit
« on: February 15, 2010, 10:06:25 PM »
I'd be interested, gone over to Extreme and don't see much point in playing the old version anymore. I don't see any of the promised changes happening so better to go out in a blaze of glory than slip into the night so to speak.

If we where to go ahead with this then it would have to be a secret location that only the players taking part in the attack  knew about. Also you know that all the active players would be searching around for the debris field for hours/days/weeks and that sounds funny in itself. Even if people found it they'd only take small chunks at a time.

You could speak to admin and see if they would be willing to lock us out after we all launch, that way no-one can weasel out and claim the rewards. Obviously they don't want people quitting but surely an event like this would be good for the game, better than us just disappearing in vacation mode.

Extreme Universe / Rankings
« on: February 10, 2010, 02:38:57 AM »
Has anyone else noticed that the rankings have not changed for the past day?

It can't just be me or else I would have slipped down had mine be unaffected.

None of my attacks or ships points have updated in some time, just wanted to see if everyone else had noticed this

Extreme Universe / Attacking
« on: January 22, 2010, 07:09:14 PM »
Word to the wise, unless you're attacking someone in your own system then for most players it's not yet worth launching attacks. I did, won yet I've slid down the rankings. During the round trip time I would have earned more points running missions and spending the filthy lucra then.

As we all get bigger fleets this won't be the case but at the moment it is for majority,

This doesn't bother me because I wanted to attack but I just thought I'd put it out there.

Extreme Universe / Re: Which one are you playing now?
« on: January 22, 2010, 07:03:05 PM »
In reckon in a couple of weeks a lot of people will purely be playing Extreme. It will become very difficult to manage both after a while and within the next few days the action will really start kicking off in Extreme as attacks become rife. The old one with its attack stalemeates will become a bit stale in comparison.
