yes, please put it back. it might make things more "even", but id rather see superbunnies and grossly bloated top ranks then a mass exodus of players and the game completely dying..

At the risk of being attacked myself(and yes i know im not even in the tourney for this round..), I feel the need to back Rayman up here.
I have a very simple favor to ask of you:
PLEASE keep this thread informational. For war hits, not personal debates.
Rayman said he is looking in to the matter, it is being handled.
SO there really is no need for any further comment on the matter from any side.

This tournament was named in honor of a fallen player, can we honor that by NOT turning it in to one big pi$$ing match?
Im not taking either side here, just asking that it be left alone for now.
It is a game, there's no need to be at eachothers throats this way.

so please, put your anger aside, let it be resolved as it may, and enjoy the rest of the tournament!

Matt- With our new leaderboard system from the last few uni's excluding crew rank, can we see it removed from our profile pages too?
maybe replace it with achievement rank on our profile, since achievement rank IS still also on the leaderboards?

been watching our moonshots closely.. doing 40% shots, we get an average of 1 every 4 shots.
we ARE getting moons..but it should be closer to 1 moon for every 2.5 shots

so, after seeing the response to my own return..and taking in to account the current state of the uni..i have a challenge for everyone.

This is to the top..maybe 250?.. players...
i challenge EACH of you to find someone from another uni... ask them to come back..and offer to do for them what you guys have done for me. Help them get started again in the game, boost them through the initial stages..

if even 1/4 of the top 250 do this..thats another 62 players with renewed interest in the uni. 62 more players who WILL be able to build ships and add to the uni dynamics..and at least 62 current players with a renewed purpose in the uni(being to help the new guys!).

anyone else game?
I will post a message on my alliance forum tomorrow in Eradeon to see if anymore of the players there are interested in returning.

someone has to save the game.. BFG needs to put more effort in to it, but we all also need to do our part.
and after i am built up enough to be in a position to help others, i will do the same that has been done for me.

when SFCO was released, it was advertised for. everyone started at close to the same level. when there are people with 6 years in to an account, new people are discouraged from playing because they will be doing so under the assumption that they will never be able to reach the top.

first step is to keep players. finding a way around the "rage quit" is a good start. i think a percentage rebuild would help with that.

i hate to say it though, but the survival of this game IS dependant on another new uni! we NEED another scenario where everyone starts out in the same place!
however, BFG has been doing that, and we are still losing players. SO, in order for us, as the players, to be happy(aka MORE PLAYERS!) AND for BFG to continue making an income...

We need to design one uni, that would be the best of everything..people would need to give and take but we could compromise on it. Create a uni ideal for veterans AND new players alike. Then we would ALL need to start an account there. continue playing the other uni's too if you want, but if EVERYONE joins the new one, from ALL of the current unis..it will have numbers greater then even SFCO has now.

However that is just phase 1..we might be able to pool 4-5k players in to one uni that way, but we need to take it a step further and bring new players in.
this means, increased rewards for recruiting new players as one thing..but MOST importantly..
THIS IS TO YOU BFG!!!
most importantly..WE NEED ADVERTISEMENT!
sure, it might cost a little, but to keep the entire player base happy? and to bring in a new PAYING player base too.. i can only see you guys profiting in the long run.
SFCO was advertised, and had well over 100k Players.. if we want this game to survive, we need those numbers again. and we ALL need to do our part. we ALL need to be willing to, at least with one account, start fresh! give all of these new players a chance to succeed!

thats my thoughts on the matter..

its an idea. fundamentally, it hink something like the following:

Cost for level 1(doubled each level of course):
2.5 Million Ore
2 Million Crystal
500k Hydro.

Level 1 Properties:
Each ship lost in battle has a 10% chance to be returned.
Returned ships would be added to your "Salvage" Queue, and built normally(to prevent people from sending multiple waves to immediately destroy all rebuilt ships)

Level 2: 18% Chance
Level 3: 24% Chance
Level 4: 28% chance
Level 5: 30% chance
+1% for every additional level

Would give you a reason to level it up to an extent, but will quickly reach a point where it is not profitable to continue. nobody would likely ever reach more then 40-50% chance this way

sat bashing isnt a real setback..its just pretty much pointless, and IMO is pretty much just the equivalent of a cyber middle finger lol

matt, i can see how the change MIGHT be beneficial in other unis..but it really nerfed the whole concept of eradeon.

even the lowest level NPCs now have mainly capitols, meaning that any new players cant even attack them. and even the top players are a lot less likely to do so now..since they only give out eradeon in that uni, and no other resource gain is achieved.. they are pretty much worthless now. too much loss for too little return..at ANY stage of the game. IMO
