How about TRA? I may drop their chief a line.

Yes, please

I request to banish puns on alliance names.

Based On my experience, it is a BAD idea. The Alpha and the Omega for a good joke. Whatīs next? A Beaver in the COLD HO(o)d or a Pilgrim on a mission to StoīVoīKor?
Letīs do the Time Warp again and forget all that.

i suggest to tear down some planets  ;D

btw, NPCs work as intended

i see a lot of NPCs worth 2k or 3k of dios near me.

naturally the rest went into defenses or AWS in the 20s.

If this is a mirror of real players, what happened? Did all NPCs subscribed to join DefCon1?

p.s.i just read an interesting article about a still growing, 10 year old space simulation. democracy as a key to success. fascinating

........ and we wonder if alliances like Time, Based on, and Hre are going to have the balls to stand against the Dark Sphere or will they fall to their knees like so many other alliances

To help you with your bad memory, read here:

While I thank you for being honest you clearly state in the above msg that you got rid of your guys after the war was started. ........

'joining MM
MrC - #1,625 for long time vd
several others for lack of activity or personal reasons'

I donīt know how you can see in that post any clear statement, that we moved out members after the war started.
There is no time stamp, i just didnīt repeated extra the "before the war started" part.

the only difference is that 2 joined Minutemen, the others did not.

You may also notice that you have to prove your accusations.
It is not our job to prove the opposite.

We will still have fun, ...............

Itīs fine they are still having fun. Itīs a game after all.

I hope the universe donīt look too grey for most of them.

Here's your documentation.

Ommodon - old friend
Walton - old friend
And three or four new players that started the game over the holidays and quickly went out.

May I ask for you documentation now?

You may. And i will even answer you  ;)

As detailed as your own documentation:
2 members moved to MM before war was started
jstorm - #4,890 - figures indicated retraining
Cpt Klunk - #190 - for personal reasons

left without joining MM
MrC - #1,625 for long time vd
several others for lack of activity or personal reasons

p.s. probably Based On could prove when alliance changes were made. But i think they have better things to do right now.

The Dark Sphere
Ω 4K [86 Members]

I assume, you moved those 8 missing members out before the war started?
As we did with our own and how it was agreed on?

1. The war will be with our parent alliance Time Wasters (tag Time) only and not with our training alliance Minutemen (tag time). There will be no movement of players between Time and time once the war begins.

Your member count is posted above if you want to transfer members now prior to war, within reason, you will need to post them below so its well documented.  As long as it doesn't get out of hand and you don't go hiding all your members like you have in the past I'm good and we can continue.  But I'm not gonna play this crap, I send a request and you move all your members 2 mins before you click accept.  Move now or don't move. you have a couple of days.  Post below who moves.

The new NPCs are a game changer. Having a balanced account with good mines and decent fleet turns against you now. The RSP from the mines will place you in the defended NPC tier, while you lack the firepower to break through. Even worse for turtles.
Obviously the whole economy of the game changed as well. No need for mining when you can make millions by debris. Just need the hydro.

Iīm not so sure about the improvement in working together. The "newbie protection" rule for NPC sometimes lead to problems, when player A can, player B canīt attack it. Chosing locations by RSP level of your buddies is new.

It seems to bring more players into the game. At least for NPC hunting. The re-introduction of debris may be problematic for casual players. Assuming, you donīt spend a lot of hydro for using zargs, you need 4 to 5 hours of game playtime for scooping the debris.

As much as i hate the defenses and the hydro losses for the Colonies, i think Morat has a good point, when he says that easy high RSP NPC would just allow the bigger players to grow even faster. It is normal that your growth accelerates because more ships mean bigger targets, but it shouldnīt be by hitting stupid NPCs.

The enemy fleets seem to be too easy in comparison. From the reports i have seen, you can pretty easy walk through their fleets and raid them dry. Less launch costs and similar plunder to the colonies.
That gives the mid RSP level fleeters a good advantage.

Is there really a way that a someone who is not ranked in the top 100 can make an attack on this profitable ?

Encounter Abandoned Colossus Platform ‎[X:XXX:Xe] has:

No one makes a profit from those targets, no matter what rank. It costs too much hydro to hit it without losses.

Much better now.
If the colours for OCH are fixed as you say, iīm glad. Something i can adapt myself too.

Less red for Xtreme would really be nice. How often have you open the screen, half awake and got a heart attack because the screen was red?
Indicating the number of messages with a small red circle donīt really bother me. Some kind of contrast is needed to see it easily.

I second Krystyns suggestion of getting a testing group. Maybe time to reactivate the players board?
Having some half-official testing would help to avoid overseeing or ignoring the critics you got here in one thread.
Morat and Rick Blackford had the same points already mentioned here which caused the major uproar.

What's up with the dfs on npcs? no notice, no announcement? after i spent the half mil to launch? sent the dios? the df is part of the reason i started hitting the npcs again. without it i hadn't hit one in months

What people tend to forget when asking for reintroduction of debris fields created by NPC encounters are the reasons, why they were removed.

The debris was placed into orbit of the slot where the NPC was. If there was a player in this slot, he was presented with a nice income of OC, he could just harvest with a 6 minute run.
And the guy who hit the NPC, lost ships for it was crying havoc because his prize was stolen.

Back then BFG said the were not able to stop the df being around the planet and to modify harvest flight times for the planet owner.

The other fact people forget was the other side of the deal: There wonīt be any DF but the amount of OCH on the NPC was increased to compensate the loss of DF.

If you ask for Debris, fine. Please ask for reduction of OCH in the plunder as well.

Had a DF appear two hours ago too.

But like lazoputz, my brave science hermes didnīt create a DF 5 minutes ago.
Maybe it is fixed now.
