Some people definitely have them.  I personally will not be wasting my time on laser tech 14, plasma 9 or whatever techs you need to build them that have no other purpose than to unlock the Zeus.  I'd rather be upping useful stuff like armor, espionage, weapons, shields, armor, and espionage.

Hey all, so i reached 51,000 resource points and got taxed up the butt and my production rate is just going too slow... so in 24 hour i will be out of diplo. Hopefully i'll be able to join in on some battles now with y'all and trade resources and stuff, and hopefully you love me all enough to help watch my back ;) and i'll try my best to help watch out for you.

Any advice? i'm a scared!!!

I believe he may have left out rule number 4 which is fleetsave, and rule number 5 which is resource save. In order to resource save make sure you have enough hercs/atlas class ships to float all your resources, and make sure you have one dionysus class ship at every planet.

Not sure if anyone mentioned it yet, but if out of (d) mode you need to be sure to Fleet and Resource save.

If you are not at your PC your stuff should anywhere but on your planets. The easiest way to do this is have enough ships and at least 1 harvester and send your ships to harvest imaginary resources. If you send your ships one planet over you can 'save for up to about 15 hours. Send them further for more time.

So one day out of diplo and of course, the majority of my resources are gone, plus just under 700 ships destroyed. Go me. And they just get to keep attacking me because i can't do anything now.

I've turned my mine off, seriously, i'm done with this game. It's no fun for people who have real lives and can't be online 24/7 to constantly move their stuff around, not to mention there is no winning. I thought i was big. I had over 500 ships on one planet alone. I figured i would be an unlikely target (even though i know some people have thousands of ships) but there you have it. 2 months in diplomacy wasted.

I can't help that some days i decide to sleep in, or I go somehwere where i can't be back in time to check my computer. Ships can only carry so much and go so slow.

Screw this game. I'm out.






Yeah, well Ashdyre is a rl friend, thus in the alliance, but we're better off this way :)

It is indeed, once resources start stockpiling though you are going to need to learn the Dionysus fleet save, it's very important when you are trying to save up resources for something, and it keeps your ships and resources out of harms way for far less hydrogen than resource swapping between planets does.

We actually sticky our members ranks every week in order to increase competitiveness.  I would love to see a sort for the alliance that functioned like the sort for your buddies though.  So overall I guess I'd have to +1 this.

If you aren't going to ninja it's best to notify the attacker asap I find.  As long as you're pleasant about it they'd rather use their fleet slot in a more productive way.  On top of that you can get them to call off an attack even if there is no way you could actually save all your resources.  Personally I try to make sure all of my planets can always stash away all their resources but everybody makes a mistake once in a while.  The only time I waited until the last minute to fleetsave and didn't mention anything to my attacker was when the attacker was demanding reparations for hitting one of his alliance members.
