Yeah, Tim was number 1 previously. He then got tired of playing after holding the number one spot...he felt like quitting and went d mode. Fortunately, he decided to continue playing and is now climbing back up.

these are just my thoughts and not to directly answer anyone's posts.

1. if a friend loses ships I would feel bad for him/her, even if it was his/her fault. And yes, I would help out if I can. The last thing the person needs is a message like the one you posted. That's why it's called an alliance, we're suppose to help each other out, not bash each other when they are down.

2. I've had people invite me to a group attack knowing I have a big fleet to help out. I've actually joined a number of these making a net loss after the losses. But as long as my alliance mates grow, then it's ok with me. Out of the many group attacks I've joined, I think I only sent recyclers to pick up debris only once or twice. The rest of the time, I let my alliance mates pick the debris up. Why do I do this? To help my teamates out.

You practically did the opposite. You got free resources and you didn't even "thank" the person who gave it to you. You actually tried to get even more resources by offering a rip off trade deal.

3. Posting an alliance's "dirty laundry" should never be. But since you already posted it...I think the only dirty laundry here are YOUR views and actions which caused you to get on the wrong side of the alliance. We didn't even kick you out...you left.

1. What's your playing Style?

I am a peaceful player. I'm at peace when I see debris.

2. How do you build your own personal empire up in the most effective way?

through peaceful means.

5. Would you please give me a history lesson in your own individual alliance?

started with Empire, now with ODB.

6. Who are the Greats of the Game? And where are they now?

Oh wow. the greats of the game...
Nobunaga - led the best alliance in the game at the time (EMPIRE)
ZPM - one of the best ....knew the game inside and out (at least until he retired). And even after being "left behind" after a 5 month retirement and rebuilding from scratch in such a short time, he was still one of the feared/respected players of the game.
Akkarin - where do we start with this crazy dude? Destroyed everything in sight, and had the attitude to boot.
Dude - Used to be one of the better fleet destroyers and hunters
Some Call Me Tim - Still one of the top players of the game, only dropped in rank because he got tired of the game.
Captain Morgan - I have to put him here or he'll feel bad he wasn't mentioned.

Of course, we have our upcoming greats, who like those above, will be talked about as well when they retire (if they ever):
Babam - known for making large debris
Badrash - same as Babam
Kttmn - i think everyone knows him
Rubicon/Kenneth - rapidly climbing the ranks in overall/ship kills. This "death' team is something to be worried about when their hephs land in your system
Koenig Ludwig/Albert Zue/Prof. Death/Lrr -hard hitting players who I'm sure most are familiar with

7. What's your take on Honor?

basically doing what you say or promise. Although there is deception in war, I won't stoop to what DP did.

8. Who's the Man on SFC original

i think ZPM/Akkarin would rule the boards if they didn't quit. But Kttmn is doing a pretty good job right now i guess. lol

9. Who's the woman on SFC original?

what? there's women in sfc? (sorry babe ;P)

11. Who don't you like?

I like everyone.

12. Who do you think is going to Beat all other alliances?

The universe is pretty big. And the way the game is set up, it's pretty hard to destroy another alliance. But it would certainly be difficult to take down alliances like ODB, NTA, Exiled, and the like. Of course, it would also be difficult to take down alliances like A New Hope just because you'll never run out of targets...

1. If you could go back to when you first started this game, what would you tell yourself?

start attacking immediately on the go. I waited until i was number 1 in resource spent before i decided to stop being a turtle and go on a rampage. It was actually more fun that way hehe.

2. What are the best decisions you've made regarding gameplay?

stop being a turtle.

3. What are the worst decisions you've made regarding gameplay?

8. Do you want my coordinates so that you can raid, pillage, plunder, and utterly destroy my presence?

sure..why not.

9. Who would you like to take out?

this person in my office...oh..wait...in game? lol

10. Has anyone ever played Outpost or Harpoon?

I used to play Harpoon

Personally IMO, I have suspicions that BFG might be biased for a particular alliance.  I'm not going to name names *coughODBcough*...

In the least, it just goes to show whiners are rewarded.  For the first time I saw a glimmer of hope regarding innovative tactics with the insta-colony death because someone was smart enough to read between the lines and discover a new tactic yet to be used.  Once it was used, ZPM whines, ODB backs them up in support and bitches, and BFG nerfs it to make it so.

And even if it was just for insta-colony deaths, I MIGHT be able to see that.  But now...now you can't even see recalled fleets!

Personally I'm highly disappointed in BFG for not only nerfing this, but giving no advanced warning on the changes made, thus screwing others attempting this innovative tactic.  I once had faith in BFG.  Now, I'm unsure.

I will say this...if ZPM does get his fleet restored due to this nerf, then I'm calling for a complete bias of the game.  ZPM does NOT deserve his fleet restored AFTER the fact BFG nerfed insta-colony deaths, AND if he does get his fleet back, I'm done, period.   To hell with this game if that happens.

try UF6...  ZPM/ODB got screwed.  it took away one of their tactics and ZPM didn't get his fleet back even after they changed the oracle to prevent what happened to him from ever happening again

Yeah..ZPM didn't get his ships back. Which I found strange.

As for the people who claim that BFG is siding with top ranked players like ZPM...I think the only reason it got changed now instead of back then was because it was only now that both sides posted their arguments well.  After the ZPM hit, there was this whole uproar about the whole thing. ZPM actually put it very clearly why it wasn't suppose to be. People got into the discussion and I guess BFG read them all and decided what they thought best. But to say that it was a change just because ZPM lost his fleet....nah.

wow..you really don't like odb. :p

We're talking about the oracle change and you just had to bring your favorite alliance into the discussion.

i wish we had an oracle that could scan BFG and see how much time was left on any incoming game changes.

this would give BFG a chance to recall their change before they get ninja'ed by 1000 support tickets

best post in this thread by far! hahaha

I actually like the removal of the colony scan. I couldn't really care less about the other changes as I'm one of those who think the introduction of the oracle sent the game downhill. This current change just made it a bit easier for raiders like me. I have four moons with four oracles.  I don't mind losing the oracles. I'd like to keep the warp gates though.

I'd rather send the attack to where the target is than wait for an oracle lock. but maybe that's just me... hehe.
