Original Universe / Re: A General Plea to all players...

We may be on opposite sides of the fence (in-game)....but i agree that bashing Zueggy is not really necessary ;)

BFG has a right to do what they want to people they deemed exploited the bug. After all, it's in their rules.

The debate now is whether the banning or reset was justified. I believe for those who entered the negative numbers, a ban/reset is justified depending on how much they tried to take. But then again, maybe the determining factor should be whether they reported the bug or not. Because if they didn't it COULD mean they intended to cheat by doing it again?

As for those who were reset because they attacked the player with the billion resources, I think that was too harsh. When we see a player with lots of resources, the first thing that comes in our mind is "juicy target". The next would probably that a bug? But the most logical choice would be to attack first and ask questions later. After all, if it was a bug, BFG will just remove what we got right? But if it was legit, then you just got the haul of the century. And you can't wait that long because someone else might beat you to it.

I know a few people who got reset because they attacked the cheater. I actually would have joined in had I been nearby. The target was already in our forum and people were lining up to attack it. Isn't this like the huge debris cloud near Tim's planet sometime ago? I believe people got to keep the resources they got there...or it was simply deleted. But no one got reset for trying to take the debris cloud even though it was abnormally high. So how is this different?
