Oops. I guess I should have been more specific.

I was curious about how much the suckers costs to build, the time, etc.

Does anyone have a screenshot for a Zeus Class they can show me?

Firefox... Okay. I'll give it a shot. Not a big fan, because it takes so freekin' long to load sometimes, but hey, if it fixes issues, I'll work with it.

General Starfleet Discussion / Trading issues

Trying to setup a trade to benefit a lower player buddy of mine.

When I say that want to send crystal, the 'Recieve' fields go blank and I cannot select anything in that drop menu.

Bug? Ideas?

Tried the search function, but because the words 'trade' and 'trading' are 'too common' they were ignored, and returned no results.

You begin play as an Ensign aboard a ship (that you name). The entire command crew dies in combat, leaving YOU in command. You pilot the ship in space, and also beam down to planets (and stations) to handle business.

Must be a lot of deaths in the storyline, if every player's entire crew dies in combat...

You do start as an Ensign. And therefore, there would have to be a big hitch to wind up in command that low on the pole... And it's just those few in the beginning.

For those who do not know:

Star Trek online is a revolutionary new MMORPG. Available only on PC.

You begin play as an Ensign aboard a ship (that you name). The entire command crew dies in combat, leaving YOU in command. You pilot the ship in space, and also beam down to planets (and stations) to handle business.

And now for my opinions.

I am playing the Beta currently, and I am LOVING it. It's everything I hoped it would be. Can't wait for the servers to go 'live' on 29JAN10.

I'm going to asnwer this...post... as simply and nicely as I can;

YOU'RE ON A FREEKIN' STAR TREK [styled] GAME! There are few things in this entire world MORE 'nerdy' than Star Trek! Some of us choose to play in a style called: 'In Character'

If you cannot deal with that, then you might as well leave now.

And, while I'm at it, free speech is not just a right granted to us.  It is also a responsibility to use your speech in a way that provides benefit, rather than simply drowning out meaningful speech with angry yelling.

Actually, Mr. Taro, 'Free Speech' IS in fact, EXACTLY that. The freedom to speak anyway you want to.

Here is the Amendment, Verbatim:

"The free communication of ideas and opinions is one of the most precious of the rights of man. Every citizen may, accordingly, speak, write, and print with freedom, but shall be responsible for such abuses of this freedom as shall be defined by law."

Here is the Dictionary.com definition of 'Law.' There are 27 entries. Read as you will.

'LAW'

–noun

1. the principles and regulations established in a community by some authority and applicable to its people, whether in the form of legislation or of custom and policies recognized and enforced by judicial decision.
2. any written or positive rule or collection of rules prescribed under the authority of the state or nation, as by the people in its constitution. Compare bylaw, statute law.
3. the controlling influence of such rules; the condition of society brought about by their observance: maintaining law and order.
4. a system or collection of such rules.
5. the department of knowledge concerned with these rules; jurisprudence: to study law.
6. the body of such rules concerned with a particular subject or derived from a particular source: commercial law.
7. an act of the supreme legislative body of a state or nation, as distinguished from the constitution.
8. the principles applied in the courts of common law, as distinguished from equity.
9. the profession that deals with law and legal procedure: to practice law.
10. legal action; litigation: to go to law.
11. a person, group, or agency acting officially to enforce the law: The law arrived at the scene soon after the alarm went off.
12. any rule or injunction that must be obeyed: Having a nourishing breakfast was an absolute law in our household.
13. a rule or principle of proper conduct sanctioned by conscience, concepts of natural justice, or the will of a deity: a moral law.
14. a rule or manner of behavior that is instinctive or spontaneous: the law of self-preservation.
15. (in philosophy, science, etc.) a. a statement of a relation or sequence of phenomena invariable under the same conditions.
b. a mathematical rule.

17. a rule, principle, or convention regarded as governing the structure or the relationship of an element in the structure of something, as of a language or work of art: the laws of playwriting; the laws of grammar.
18. a commandment or a revelation from God.
19. (sometimes initial capital letter) a divinely appointed order or system.
20. the Law. Law of Moses.
21. the preceptive part of the Bible, esp. of the New Testament, in contradistinction to its promises: the law of Christ.
22. British Sports. an allowance of time or distance given a quarry or competitor in a race, as the head start given a fox before the hounds are set after it.

–verb (used with object) 23. Chiefly Dialect. to sue or prosecute.
24. British. (formerly) to expeditate (an animal).

—Idioms25. be a law to or unto oneself, to follow one's own inclinations, rules of behavior, etc.; act independently or unconventionally, esp. without regard for established mores.
26. lay down the law, a. to state one's views authoritatively.
b. to give a command in an imperious manner: The manager laid down the law to the workers.

27. take the law into one's own hands, to administer justice as one sees fit without recourse to the usual law enforcement or legal processes: The townspeople took the law into their own hands before the sheriff took action.

Having posted this, there is no 'law' or 'rule' that states that one may not complain here. If you disagree, I suggest you read the 'Forum Rules' at the top of the Forum page.

I said all that, to say this. Marlboro Mann can complain, gripe, bi*ch and moan ALL he wants to. All you have to do is ignore it.

Have a nice day.

My wife and I share a laptop at times, so we have one IP Address logging into two different FB accounts.

I got suspended for it. So did she.

But, if BFG had taken the time to look, they would see that both accounts are for two completely separate people.

I am no longer suspended, but she IS still suspended, and BFG refuses to respond to her attempts to contact them. She WAS interested in playing, but no longer is.

I agree.

The whole point of playing ANY game is to play. Of course, WINNING is always fun, but I'd rather lose as a player, than win as a cheater. Besides, losing is  a valuable part of any players' experience. You learn by losing.

I'm not that good at this game. In fact, as I type this, 5 of my 9 planets are being ravaged by someone with better ships. So, having said this, I'm not a cheater, and I never will be. I've been playing for about a month, and I'm only at the Athena class. I suck, I know it, and I accept it. lol

General Starfleet Discussion / Re: Payouts?
« on: January 10, 2010, 06:25:36 AM »
I much hate to be the bearer of ill news, but if you don't get the credits for one of the "free" offers, you most likely will not. The support crap takes FOREVER to handle, and the offer folks aren't really that caring.

I have a few small "free" offers unpaid as well, but I gave up.

Besides, are the few thousand credits REALLY worth the time it takes to complain, file, and fight for them?
