I've been getting 'slow attacked' periodically for the last week or so. Should I start reporting these people?

You have an interesting definition of 'worth it'. If this was a 2 player game then definitely, spending resources to cost your opponent more resources makes sense. However, if you spend X millions to cost someone else 2X millions all you're doing is setting both of you back compared to the other couple thousand people playing.

Could it be fun? Sure. Could it be profitable if they keep a huge stash of resources behind? Sure. Is it 'worth it' in the general case to nuke plasmas? No way.

Tell me where your fleet is Sid, I'll make sure to watch it for you.

Possibly with a very low energy level and a really hot planet that could be the case, but I'd still like to see the exact numbers showing it can be a bad idea.

Building the plant is debatable but once you have it, you should be using it to power all 3 types of mines as far as I can tell.

Please post your math showing that to be the case. The Wiki is pretty clear on the facts I used to generate the numbers above which showed it is worthwhile. I just double checked and the level of the synth has practically nothing to do with the energy to hydrogen conversion of he plant.

I read Ender in Exile recently and enjoyed it. It was no Xenocide, but still very good.

Oh god, I can't tell if this was an intentional or unintentional troll.  OH GOD!  TRYING... NOT... TO BITE.

I read somewhere that ships in flight don't count as build points so it's possible if someone fleetsaves that they can become an (n).

At a reasonable energy level (say, 8, so you can get plasma) the higher the level of the nuke plant, the better the hydrogen->energy conversion, but you're going to get up over 4 pretty quickly.

At a reasonble hydrogen plant level and temperature you're getting about 3 hydrogen for every 4 energy.

So, you can turn 4 energy into 3 hydrogen into 12 energy.

How exactly is it a mistake to power hydrogen synths with nuclear plants when it's a strict profit?

Even the base is doubled, so a fresh colony produces 40 ore and 20 crystal with no mines in extreme.

I think you need to reread what I said. I said only the workers on the planet that paid count, and as a result if you have different workers on different planets you can see different research times for the same tech.

Also only the workers on the planet paying for the research count, so it's possible to have humans on one planet and droids on a second and nothing on a third and end up seeing drastically different times.

How did you build the lab while the research was going?

I didn't.

I was sitting at 10-9. While my previous tech was finishing (armor 11 I think) I made sure to get enough resources onto worlds 2 and 3 to build up labs. As soon as armor 11 finished I set world 2 (currently with a 9 lab) to build lab 10 and I set world 3 (with nothing) to start churning out labs. In the time it took to build world 2's 10 I got world 3's lab to 9. When that happened my home world started researching arcnet 2. Now I'm running 10-10-9.

I was building labs in parallel; I was not both researching and building labs at the same time.
