I'm sure that everyone has gotten the spam message in their inbox from various newbies in the game. Regardless of the sender the message always says the same thing.

"Hi, I invite you to the browser military strategy game eRevollution. In it you can fight, build a business or become a president of Country! Our Country is invaded by the enemies! Help your Country to become The Greatest Empire in The World!
http://www.eRevollution.ga"

BFG might want to clean their house a bit.

There are no developers. Just whoever is tweaking the server. The servers are starting to have little glitches here and there. I'm not going to waste my time with a trouble ticket. They'll just tell me the problem is on my end.

What would be the point of a new Uni when all the other Unis are dead? In Uni 2 almost 80% of the top 300 players are either in Diplomacy Mode or Vacation Mode. The only thing to hit are NPCs and even those have virtually disappeared in Uni 2. I've never understood the wisdom of spending your money to be one of the top players of a Uni that's going to be dead in six months. Most of the Unis in Starfleet Commander could be renamed Farmtown Commander now.

I get messages from the Krug, Urcath, and Seekers all the time in SFCO and Uni2. What is the purpose of these messages other than to clog up my mailbox? The NPCs don't attack in SFCO or Uni2 so what's the point in the NPCs sending messages?

Epic... was it really an epic failure? Your handle appears to suite you.

Just stating my opinion. If the NPCs in their current state had been such a huge success then why wasn't there a mass exodus from "D" Mode when they were introduced to SFCO? It seems that their reputation for non-profitability proceeded them.

I've gotten messages from NPCs that are 200 systems away from me that I didn't probe or even know about. Since the NPCs were changed to their current crappy state from their first fun to attack state I haven't bothered to attack or even really probe them anymore. I suppose that the messages were supposed to bring some "excitement" to this dead game but as with a lot of things here it's just another epic failure.

There were always scripts from the start in SFCO that were available, they were illegal ones for running missions 24/7 or moving resources constantly to a main planet.  Then some of the scripts we use now for page layouts were accepted.

I seem to remember that using scripts was one of the two main ways to get suspended. The other was multi-accounting. There was always someone looking for some way to advance their rank dishonestly...LOL!

Was a better time back then. No moons, no parsers to know your location and no scripts (that I was aware of).

Besides Ninja's were so much easier without parsers. Guess they have pro's and con's

Ninjas were a lot more fun to pull when you didn't have a moon or Oracle looking over your shoulder, too. I managed (years ago) as a low ranked player to pull a ninja on a much higher ranked player who got lazy and didn't watch his attack all the way through. There also seemed to be a lot more cooperation and communication when doing a group ninja before there were moons and Oracles and scripts and all the other things that were introduced in order to give some players an advantage. It used to be that the biggest advantage that players had over one another was either a bigger fleet or higher techs or playing during more of the day. It was just a lot more fun. There were also a LOT more players back then. I miss those days.

Ya, well I didnt start playing this game til after moons, etc. were introduced so I have no personal background on the game prior to that.

That's unfortunate laz. There seemed to be a lot more interaction between players and alliances when you didn't need a college degree to be good at the game or have fun. The more educated fellas would disagree but I never felt that I should have to use a calculator or a spreadsheet to have fun. I have to use my brain during the rest of the day. I don't want to do it while I'm relaxing...LOL!

Better idea....just put the AWS on NPCs back to where it was before the new ones were introduced and add 10-20 mil of hydro on each one (including Seekers) and we will all be happy. Then we can stop flooding the forum with all this discussion that is not going to change anything.

IMHO    :)

Now now, let's not take away the opportunity for these guys to show how intelligent they are just so that the rest of us can have a little fun with the new NPCs...LOL!
