Bollocky Bollocks, My first grand child has to have open heart surgery in January. This came totally out of the blue today. She is 13 and they just found a septal defect. They worry you just as much as your own kids. It never stops.

Original Universe / Re: NPC's??
« on: December 20, 2011, 10:19:16 PM »
The NPC's although seemingly a good thing are sometimes ridiculously heavy on ore and light on crystal and especially Hydro. Every hit i make almost without exception i lose hydro and do not recoup it in the raid. This is resulting in dwindling hydro that is being replaced by my mines overnight but not enough to cover the raids. I dont mind this to much as i make a profit every time and the DSP is a bonus. However i think it needs more of a balance to make it a bit more realistic with the odd hydro heavy or crystal heavy NPC. I had one earlier that had 11m ore, 76k crystal, and 30k hydro. I made plenty of profit on the ore, tiny bit on crystal but 600k loss on the hydro.

Original Universe / Re: Did someone in the top 40 just bite it?

Just to put ihopping into perspective, Kenneth has gone up 5m points in a week. In one week he has accumulated almost one quarter of my total points for three years work. So in theory unless he quits, in my book there are now two SFC tables of rank. The top 9 who all planet hop, and the rest of us. That is apart of course of the ihoppers i dont know about. Kenneth could technically go into d mode now for two years for me to catch up. And i am rank 16. Thats crazy!!!!

Battle Reports / Re: NPC bites the dust

NPC's are easy without loss.
1. CHECK techs, most are low 6/6/6 is typical but watch for higher.
2. IF its close and big, 10 systems either side use just proms. Get atlas amount needed report, divide by 5000, then divide by whatever ships you want to use. ie, Athena 1500, Proms 2000, Hades 800. Dont bother with fodder unless its a large fleet NPC, then you only need atlas.
3. Hades just have the edge on both power and hydro use if you have enough of them.
4. Colossus are the biggest but only really good and profitable if close.
5. Dont attack any NPC if it has a time star, go back to it in an hour or so.
6. Think Proms, hades and athena.

You knew you could'nt get me so you went. You coward.
Only joking, you brought a different dimension to the game, but whatever was said about you, your character will be missed and i suspect you wont be the last. I loved your sarcasm and dry humour.

General Starfleet Discussion / Re: will you continue to purchase items
« on: November 28, 2011, 01:31:27 AM »
With my enthusiasm when I first started the game I bought credits, then realised I wasn't going to spend money on a live computer game. I had about 600k credits. It was so long ago. When compression came I still had those 600k credits. I moved one planet for strategic reasons after compression because it was isolated without a moon and then I ihopped the second to take out an L2k 600 ranked inactive player. I was just using the credits I already had and used them up. I have never purchased a thing for any other item and would never ihop again or spend one penny on this game.

General Starfleet Discussion / Re: Galaxy Parsing Tools
« on: November 27, 2011, 11:35:36 PM »
In my experience most of the larger alliances have parsers. The biggest benefit I have found when I have used them is that they save me a ton in hydro on wasted launches. They also have the added benefit of allowing you to rapidly find the other locations to a sole inactive planet find. So the real solution would be to have a public tool like the one we have just lost which I used. I believe we should have a public one, then the playing field is levelled although through long periods when I have not had access to one I have managed just as well. I have a lot of good mates so I am lucky, I have access to three. One alliance I know has one, and a back up to boot.

PLEASE KEEP THIS ON TOPIC. No long posts, just answer the question and vote.
My answer; Not at all, they dont give a damn.

General Starfleet Discussion / Re: Poll: Yes or No to iHopping?
« on: November 25, 2011, 12:05:41 AM »
The other thread/vote has been locked, surprise, surprise. I have been thinking about this quite a lot today. BFG really are like every other company, football clubs, banks etc.........
They reel you in with special offers, lies and crap, then once you join they dont give a damn. We were asked by you Matt to voice an opinion and vote on it. 90% voted for this change. My alliance almost to a man want the change. All you done was told us you were not going to change the feature. No reason, no excuse, nothing. So we all wasted our time. When you do give an answer it sounds like an automaton. Do you read from an auto Q provided by BFG or is it an independent answer from your good self. Just curious.
Also i am pretty sure your ad on SFC front page is against British law as you state there are 800 odd k players when in fact there are 14k.
I think players are more angry not for the fact BFG have said no to changing the feature, but you have given no reason.
People like to be kept informed and given accurate information. Do you know that if the reason was financial  and you had said its because its a good revenue income, i would have been happy because you were honest and i know companies have to make money, but the way it has been done disgusts me by leading players on and giving hope you were actually listening. When in fact you obviously were not.

SDE account deleted.

Neither will I be buying any further credits, not that I've ever bought many, and as well as myself, my two number 2s in my alliance, both sub 800 and several other long standing sub 2000 players will be coming with me.

If YOU BGF think I am going to continue to play a game with such a lopsided advantage to those with money you have another thing coming. I would rather pit my wits against a computer which at least has logic.
Yesterday I reached rank 16. I took Psiosa's place and the nearest one at 15 is now Scottay 2m points in front of me. Unless by some fluke, it is going to take me ages to go up another place. I know I will never catch the ihoppers so now I have gone as far as I can go. My pleasure I suppose now is leading my alliance and teaching and Mentoring others.
I will now spend my time grooming someone else to take over and I will be leaving the game by the end of the year.
What the point of the forum is I really don't know and you cant even give a reason. If you were a government you would have a coup on your hands and you would all be shot.

exactly those are that are just hunters would pretty much drop in rank so much the ones that play the game and get that dsp it would kill. if anything there should be a seperate tier for id dsp. that would show who hits active targets and who just hits ids. still keep it normal but everyone would know who got skill and who doesnt. at least then dsp would have meaning again.

I hit anything. Whatever turns up. I do hit a lot of id's, but i also hit a lot of actives.

Thats actually a great idea. Then its not all about how many ships you've blown up but about real all round game play management. Then the i hoppers can hop until their hearts content. I've always thought RSP is king anyway. I could go with that.
