Title: Pulse drive level 5
Post by: 1968vet on June 03, 2010, 07:12:58 AM
I have just upgraded to Pulse drive level 5.

Does my current fleet of Atlas class speed improve or is it only the new ones I build?

It affects all of your atlasses, current and future

Thanks for the advice. One more question.

So even with the upgrade the mission times stay the same?

mission times never change, no matter what, so don't rely on missions. Inactives (or actives) are much much faster resource gain

As origon said mission times aren't affected by engine techs. And you will find that missions are pocket change when compared to raiding

BUT, don't completely ignore missions, especially if you ever go into Diplomacy mode (when they can get you a LOT of resources if you are taxed highly).  I send ships off on missions to fill up fleet slots not being used to FRS (Fleet/resource save) just before I log off for the night or go to work.  It's pocket change, but even that adds up if you collect it enough.  Just remember that those ships will return and be sitting at your planet and vulnerable until you log back in (why I always have some defenses just to keep those ships safe(r).
