Off-Topic / Does anyone here play SFC on an iPhone?

If so, does it log you out at odd times? Sometimes I can access the game 20 times in 5 or 6 hours and not have a problem, but other times it kicks me out and makes me log back in every single time I load a page. I've noticed it doing this when I'm looking through the forum too.

Does anyone know why it does this or what can be done to fix it?

I always thought it would be cool to have a ship that could fire IPBM's from planets without a silo. I searched for ideas like this, but all I got was a ton of posts talking about missile batteries. The stats I made for it are what I think it would keep the game balanced if it were to actually exist. It's purpose would be to give temporary war colonies the ability to fire missiles.
I don't see how it could destroy game balance since we have nuclear submarines now that have the exact same function.

Cost:
Ore 300,000
Crystal 350,000
Hydrogen 50,000

Cargo Capacity: 3,500
Speed: 3,000 (Warp)
Fuel consuption: 2,000
Attack Strength: 200
Shield Strength: 100
Hull: 65,000 if I used the hull formula right

Requirements:
Warp 7
A.I. 11
Pulse 8

1. It would have 8-10 missile slots.
2. It's range would be ((4Xpulse drive) -1) or even ((3Xpulse drive) -1) instead of ((5Xpulse drive) -1)
3. The missiles would have to come from a regular silo on another planet.
4. It would only be able to fire from the orbit of your planet, and could not be fired if it was in an attacking fleet.


Problems I see with it:
1. It has to cost more than a level 4 silo for game balance, which makes it's hull gigantic, and it hard to destroy. (Maybe it would have a lot of rapidfire vulnerability to negate this?)
2. It has to have low attack/shield/speed to discourage people from sending it on an attack because of that hull.
3. You would have to be able to hit it with an IPBM just like a regular silo to eliminate the missiles it has, which would beg the question "why can't every ship be able to be targeted by an IPBM?"
4. You could build 50 of them and turn anyone's planet to glass, no matter how many ABM's they had.
5. You could give a Zeus 20 missile slots and get the same thing.
6. I'm sure someone else can find something else wrong with it that would destroy game balance and make me look like an idiot for suggesting it, but I'll post it here anyways.


I don't know about everyone else, but I want a new ship to unlock and play around with. Feel free to tell me why this would be a stupid idea. I can take it.  ;)

Does the Hydrogen cost of the ship count, or is it just the Crystal and Ore? I couldn't find it on the wiki.


And yes, I did search "destroyed ship points" on here. I got over 900 hits, and all of them are completley unrelated to what I want to know.

Feature Suggestions / Shipyard Timer

I'd like a timer for the total ships that I've queued in my shipyard. It's hard to figure it out mentally if you're busy and playing from your iPhone or something, and I've queued so many before that I've had to wait a while before going to bed because I have to fleetsave all of them. Just thought it would be a good idea since some ships don't have an even build time like the Athena, which my homeworld produces in 48:44. With that time it would be easy to estimate wrong and make 1 or 2 more than I intend to, then have to wait for it to finish before fleetsaving at night. Just a thought.

that get's 3 to 4 messages from people every day asking how they can apply? They don't actually know how to physically do it. Isn't it fairly obvious?

Just started to build a Foundry with 6 Proms, 25 Artemis, and 2 Hades in my build queue. Yes, I know you can't do that, but I did it somehow and all my ships dissappeared out of my queue when the prom that was under construction at the time finished. I did not get any of the resources back, which I'm positive of since I fleetsaved right after I started construction on the foundry, and the 895k OCH in ships wasn't on my planet in the morning before my fleets got back with the rest of my resources.  I submitted a bug report, and I got this for an answer:


"Your problem has been deemed solved: You cannot build a Foundry with ships in the build queue."


Yeah, thanks... that helped a ton... I don't know what I ever  would've done without your sage advice...


Has anyone else ever had this happen to them? I was surprised when it allowed me to build the Foundry with ships in the queue, but I wasn't complaining.

Original Universe / Surveys from hell

Just tried to take a consumer survey. First preliminary question was asking if I would be buying anything from a list. I would actually be buying all the products in the next month or so, so I checked all of them. I got disqualified for not meeting the "requirements".


I think I've it figured out. The preliminary questions and some of the first questions of the actual survey ARE the survey, and you get disqualified after several questions so you get zero credits.

Does anyone else here find it impossible to finish the surveys? I've tried to do probably 20 or so and have never got past question 5...

So I have to ask. What do players usually put as their max mine levels? I'm trying 20-21/18-19/15 on all of my colonies, powered with a level 21 solar, a level 9 reactor, and 2-3 solar sats.


Basically what i'm asking is is there a point where the cost of the mine is more than the mine can produce in a reasonable amount of time to pay for itself?


I don't know if this was covered already, but I tried the "search" function and couldn't find anything.

I think it would be cool to see the total build times of all the ships in your queue, so you dont end up building one that gets finished after you fleetsave for the night. I know I could add them up, but it would be cool to have a sort of timer for all of them, since I really try to avoid building through the night.
