Although BBB is an alliance mate I appreciate good strategy and that's what this is.  6 billion.  wow.

Three things I took from this.

(1) I don't like the fact that Andrea contributed only hermes and yet he still got 3+Mil in DSP. Nothing against Andrea, I'm against the idea of equal distribution of DSP despite sending in vastly different fleets. It should be proportional to what you contributed.

(2) I've already commenced building 10s of thousands of ZAGs.

(3)  I'm getting my Jet level to 19.

Feature Suggestions / Re: Ships on hephs..
« on: July 21, 2012, 08:19:51 PM »
I have two statements on this subject of a "locked" heph.

1-If a heph has ships out (harvesting, attacking) and someone gets the drop on them and can destroy the heph before the ships that are out can return, the heph should be able to depart; but in doing so, any ships that are out are lost. They disappear immediately once the heph leaves its slot.  No DSP for the attacker.

2-If #1 isn't adopted, and the Heph remains locked in place, then the ships on the heph should be allowed to deploy to one of their worlds.   They should not just disappear when the heph disappears (assuming the player took them out of the battle).

Keeping at least some of your ships, even if the heph goes down, will make some players remain in the game.  Right now, a lot of players simply up and give-up when their heph and fleet is toasted.

I like the lucky draw idea for a planet move....and the once a year on your anniversary move as well.   Cmon BFG, show some innovation.

Feature Suggestions / Ability to move from one uni to another
« on: July 21, 2012, 07:56:11 PM »
Just as we can purchase credits to move a planet from one location to another.....

Perhaps BFG could come up with a way to a whole player, planets, moons, ships and all, for a price, from one universe to another?

Some rules would be needed...like you can't already be in the universe you want to move to.

Make it very expensive ($100 or more).    I think you'd find people would go for it.

Failing that, how about consolidating SFCX-O and SFCX-2 into one universe?   If someone has an account in both, they have to pick only one and let the other go.   Any credits from the uni being let go could be assigned to the new, single, account the person has.

Time for a shake up BFG.   Things are getting stale.

Probably to present a truer picture of alliance strength.....just because you have 1000 members (ala ANH) doesn't make you strong.

a few of you are saying that hades aren't available yet in the lucky draw.....I just got the chance to win 25 of them (didn't win them.....but they were still displayed).

Phil makes a good point.   If it had gone down early then you would have a valid arguement.   You should have fleet saved immediately upon coming out of (v) and seeing the game was going down for 2 hours.

I've dealt with Andy and the current #1... #16.

I helped Andy and his buddy out with my Oracle once and he promised me 3 mill in loot.   Never got it despite reminding him of it.

I hold great stead in a persons word and Andy's is worthless.

It is better to add any new features to existing universes and unbalance them than it is to leave them to rot and die a slow death.    Good players will adapt.  Imbalance will make them work at being best again rather than fat and bored as most of us are these days (regardless of what uni you're in).

One thing I do not want to see is yet another universe where everyone has to start all over again.  We have SFC-O, SFC-uni2, SFC-X, SFC-X-uni2 and now Stardrift.  I'd actually like to see some thought to pulling the various universes together and if you play in several of them (I play in 4 of them) perhaps combining all your resources/ships/whatever into one universe.

I also would like to see some limits to how strong the high ranked players get.  Hephs carrying around 100's of thousands of ships is discouraging to new players.

I'd like to see the rank system calculation changed.  Rather than resources SPENT I think resource GENERATION CAPABILITY is a better indicator of strength/rank (mine levels).

I'd like to have the capability to move my heph when I have ships out with the understanding that the ships I have out are lost. Perhaps they can become debris fields where my heph used to be parked.

The discouraging thing for me is the vast swatches of planets in (v) or (d) mode.   There's no limit to how long someone can stay in those modes if you log in once a week or two to re-initialize the inactive timers.  Perhaps limiting players to 30 days vacation mode per calendar year would get people out more to play.    I don't like DIP mode at all but if it is to exist, perhaps limit it to a certain # of days per year also.

I like the resource generation and speeds found in SFC-X.   Original I find slow.   I do not like the graphics in Stardrift.   The ship icons in SFC are much better that those in Stardrift (IMHO).

If I think of other stuff, I'll post it.

Battle Reports / Re: TEMPLAR† vs STAR Heph
« on: July 31, 2011, 11:49:53 PM »
This game's always a learning experience.

I've learned that Templar's aren't honourable players.  I was approached by SofF to do a trade.  I agreed.   He even said "...don't be afraid".  That should have tipped me off immediately.

10 minutes into the transport of materials, WOOKIE scans my heph.  Launchs 5000+ proms minutes later.     Despite SofF's protestations of innocence, he attachs 1000's of ships to the attack.   No collusion there.   He was in it from the start.

I decide to beat on SofF a bit so I send two attack fleets to chew on him before my stuff gets destroyed (because with 5,000+ proms on the way, the hephs toast).  I also launch my zeus's and dions and a couple hundred atlas's loaded with res to reduce the bootie WOOKIE will reap.    WOOKIE tells me to fight with my full fleet and he'll give me some of the debris to rebuild with (ever heard of "FOOL ME ONCE, SHAME ON YOU; FOOL ME TWICE, SHAME ON ME"?).  Nope.  You've proven you're dishonourable; I'm not going to be fooled again.

I do have to give WOOKIE credit (and that #10 guy), they really wanted the DSP of my fleet so they locked the attack fleet and called off the original attack wave.  3 seconds behind.   Except you forgot to include any proms.

I hope you learned something in this too....you can't destroy a heph unless you attack with PROMS.   You sent 12,000+ hades and the heph survived.

Anywho, you can see the lost ships above.  I saved 5 zeus's, 1200 dions and 600+ atlas's....and the heph (although it was due to WOOKIEs mistake that they survived because I know you wanted to destroy the heph).

I was able to scoop 20+ mill of the debris and I'm now going to rebuild.

I don't blame WOOKIE for any of this (unless he is one and the same as SofF) .   I blame SofF for using dishonorable tactics.

And that #10 ranked guy, he lost the most of you three. 7000 arties, 3000 apollos.

General Starfleet Discussion / Re: Unfair gaming
« on: May 22, 2011, 09:21:17 PM »
Does anyone who objects to paying money to BFG for credits have an XBox, PlayStation, Wii or other gaming consoles?

If you do have one or more of these gaming consoles, how many free games have you received (and I don't mean gifts from others, I mean totally, 100% free)?  How many games do you own that you or someone else paid money for?

How many of you played those games and beat them in a weekend or a week or a month?

If you have a gaming console and you have games that you paid for why would you object to throwing BFG a few bucks every month or 2?   $20 buys you a lot of credits.  How many xbox games can you get for $20?

Think about this game the same way you do console games and you'll see sending money to BFG isn't a big thing.
