In the old days of OG, probes carried loot. So you could attack defenseless planets over and over very very fast and make a good pile, as long as you didnt bash. They actually changed the rules to disallow that after it was shown how overpowered it was to the dedicated player willing to sit there and launch, launch, launch.

In the old days of SFC, probes carried loot as well.  They took that away here too, about mid-November of last year.  I had about 2000 probes at the time (which was A LOT at the time), and then I had no use for them.  At least BFG refunded us if we didn't think we still needed them.  I've never had more than 500 ever since.

I have about 3000 probes in extreme, works wonders when you want to transfer resources from planet to moon or  the other way around fast

Once you upgrade them to Battle Charons, you will pwn. Trust me. Just put another 500 in queue, you wont regret it.

Battle Charons are awesome.  Did you know a Battle Charon can destroy a Zeus in one shot, and all the debris automatically becomes new Battle Charons?

I had long ago decided that I should never open that book, and nothing on earth could have persuaded me to buy it. I had always refused to listen to any description of it, and indeed, nobody ever ventured to discuss the second part aloud.
