Commander Roger Keen vs John Gilbert-Jupp
« on: August 29, 2012, 07:11:04 PM »
So here I am suffering from yet another McAfee debacle and my BT internet having a strop and a go slow, plus I am working to a deadline but have ships queued and I get probed by one of the two players who regularly probe me to see if I have ships sat on my main planet.

I think to myself "ok I'll carry on working and check in after the kettle has boiled".

So I come back with a refreshing brew of Peruvian coffee and see that red exclamation mark above the planet in question.

"Excellent" I think to myself.  I have time to warp my recently docked heph fleet back to my main planet (he ignored the moon with like 7 million in res sat there for that very purpose) via my moon warp gates.

So I warp back through and because I had added my heph to the mix, this was slower than a zeus deploy.  It meant that when he probed not once but five times, he missed the deploy.

Ever the polite gentleman I am, I thanked him for his kind contribution and promptly spent the lot, adding it to my queue.  Now I fully expect all and sundry to come visiting as I have a multi day queue.  Plenty of opportunity for people to buddy up for group defends over my fair planet and share in the vast d/f's that wandering nomads shall create in their attempt to smash my new shiny shippies as they come off the production lines.

I would assume so.  I can check all the probe reports to be sure but yes, I am fairly sure.

For all who are interested, I have passed my account to another and no longer play X1 or any other uni.  Maybe one day I'll come back to give Commander Roger Keen a fair chance at getting even but for now I have quit the unis.
