3rd attack on npc
« on: October 26, 2013, 02:18:37 PM »
Battlementat that my friend uses  ;)  Gets to 3rd attack on npc, and it's an overwhelming win. Yet it says I will lose rsp points. Anyone know why?

The amount of resources you will gain from the attack is less than the combination of ship losses (if any) and hydro costs for the attack.

Beavis,

Be certain to ensure that BM is showing the coordinates of the world from which you will be launching the attack.  Doing this enables BM to properly calculate your hydro burn.

If you are launching BM from your Espi reports, be certain to have the appropriate world selected in your Messages window.  BM will pick up this info and auto-populate the coordinates for the world from which your attack starts.

Perhaps he is hitting an EF or LEF?  Those are profitable on the 2nd and 3rd hits.

Do you have a link to the battlementat scenario that you're speaking of... that'd help us figure out the problem a lot quicker...

a few reasons could be:

1) some unis provide debris from defences, so it calculates dioys to collect.

2) your calcing from the BM link in the espi report, but your located such a distance from the npc that by the time it calculates the hydro use, you have made a rescource (rsp) loss

3) as stated above, simply not enough rescources to plunder which cover the losses on that round.

The hydro cost to launch an attack on an npc is always factored in through battlementat, so sometimes despite an overwhelming win your still loose RSP
