Nice! (I personally have a 262 and a 309, and both in 15 slots so they're good for lots of hydrogen, temps in the -91 to -81 through -51 to -41, but hey...)

Wow ... you lucky dog.  Although I suppose the flip side of that is that it must be a real beotch to power them, since Helios aren't really worth the investment in slot 15

Doing just fine with a combo of solar power plants and nuclear. The Helios being vulnerable and all. The extra hydro production comes in handy with the nuclear plants. I just build a level of solar, tweek the nuclear down, then bump the nuclear back up as I upgrade the mines. When the nuclear can't power another mine, then I up the solar again.

That's what I've been trying to do. Been practicing keeping everything powered, while TRYING to keep my nukes at around 50%

I'm in Diplomacy mode at the moment, focusing my resources on getting a few good planets and a decent fleet built up before I get back in the game, and I want to make sure I have  a power back up for when I start getting hit again, and I lose helios power   x.x

It takes a lot to fill the really big ones- like these... one of them has huge helios fleet with a crunchy center underneath. The other has an excellent hydro production facility that goes straight to a high energy tech Nuclear facility

My very first colony was a 312 on a #12 slot.
