Freighters - A high capacity vessel for resource transit
« on: April 13, 2010, 08:07:42 PM »
A high capacity vessel for resource transit, not meant to be used for attacks.

I think we all get annoyed having to send 400 ships back and forth between planets to transport resources while hording for researches, etc.

I am thinking something meant for fleetsaving or heavy transport between Galaxies.

Say like 200k capacity thats really slow like the dioys

And it would also be nice if it could haul ICBM's from planet to planet.

It would also be nice if it had a 100000 hull, rapid-fires on everything, and costs 10 hydro to move.

While we're at it, can it only cost the same as an Apollo?

And it should have a base speed of 20000. Warp drive.

Maybe launch fighters as well? Carries 10 Artemis?

Nothing game-altering, a Bronto-Mercury Class Freighter could be a no-attack vessel (1 hull point) suitable for moving mass quantities between the galaxies.

Can we make it so that only I can unlock this vessel?

I support this, really do need some kind of ship to fulfil this role, make it to slow to attack with.

zeus cost 10mill to hold 1million, as a cargo ship there not very cost effective, there also targeted by people for there huge SD points and have a large amount of tech to unlock them...

but yeah +1 to the idea

The Hephaestus costs 50m but holds 1b. By far the most efficient ;)
Cargo efficiency comes at the cost of speed obviously.

400 isn't too bad. I've needed to send ~2000 to start building my next level mine.
