Though as far as I know any activity that self refreshes the page will also give activity to the planet you are anchored to, so it only goes so far.

Home, All Planets. Self refreshes upon activity, unless you switch out for another window (depending on your settings and OS). I've seen a number of incoming probes and attacks thanks to using the All Planets Home page as my main window. Anything that you cued will self update upon completion. Any incoming probe or attack will auto-update on the screen within 1-15 seconds of being launched.

It will autoupdate? So that means without any need to refresh? Like if you were silent, with no fleets building the game will autorefresh when attacks or probes are coming?

Unless you're using a PS3 or something anyway. Every Windows and Linux based OS I've played SFC on does it. You can build 200 Arts and watch them all add themselves to your fleet without refreshing once.

Edit:

I can't recall if I've left the window idle long enough to know whether it will update itself even if you have no activity going. I've not had any method of testing it.

Guess it would be nice if somebody checked it out. I know I tested to see if activity would show, not to see if it would autoupdate.

No problem. It's amazingly useful. I remember having the same feeling you are.  :D

The "all planets" page refreshs when one of the progress bars completes. It's just an ajax refresh, so I'm not sure whether it shows activity or not.
