If nobody cares, why did you mention it?

If the other side surrenders, you should get the win. I am having someone look into this now.

I would point out that the button says "End War". NOT "Surrender".

What? Because we refused to "fight" against YOUR joke of an alliance who couldn't even manage to convince more than 10% of your members to stand and fight in a war YOU STARTED? The "End War" thing was simply because there was NO POINT continuing the war. Neither side (excepting the incident over the weekend which you claim was cheating) had landed a meaningful hit in FIVE DAYS. And I was specifically looking for your guys for all day on two of those, and NEVER found a profitable target. The same was the case for EVERY one of our members that I asked. THAT's why we ended the war - if you want to claim that's "surrender", fine, claim it. But it's not. It's simply admitting that there is no fighting taking place.

That whole poll thread about "should alliances automatically lose a war if a certain amount are in diplomacy mode"... is based on a suggestion I posted BASED ON your alliance's actions in this war. Congrats. A rule may actually get changed because of the stupidity your alliance pulled.

Don't want to really comment but isn't it just only the leader who declares war and  the other leader has the option to accept or deny? :?:   Those in dip and others who left UFP probably had no idea about the war until they saw "red".  Very few alliances are true "democracies".  I'm finding it difficult to see how you can blame UFP leadership. :?:

They (UFP) sent the declaration of war, saying they wanted to "fight everyone". AT THAT TIME 80% of their alliance was ALREADY in d-mode. Within the first day of the war (AFTER we accepted), 25% of their members - including most of the remaining ones not in d-mode - were spun off into a seperate (brand-new) alliance which UFP then broke its own no-NAP policy and gave an NAP to. They knew EXACTLY what they were doing - creating a situation where the only people we could hit for warscore were their "all-stars", which was NOT what we signed up for. I have received third-party PM's indicating that Ajunviper was personally messaging people that he was "greatly amused" that they were at war with several high end alliances at the same time and that none of them "could win".... because THERE WERE NO TARGETS TO HIT.

By the time we "ended" the war - there had been no significant battles for half the time we had been at war. A ten day war where pretty much all the scoring was in the first five days.

Ah gotcha.   I must have missed the info about the non-dip players being spun off into a new alliance.

So it was never worth it, as the bulk of your potential targets (as at start of war) skipped town to join spin-off alliance (as planned all along by UFP leadership).
