Blackberry Users
« on: December 12, 2011, 11:43:21 PM »
Ok.. I'm at wits end. BFG have decided to stop supporting the blackberry native browser (OS7). I tried Opera, and it SFC doesn't work well on there either. I downloaded Bolt, and it worked for a short period of time, but they will cease to exist in a few days.

Anyone have a workaround for this problem?

And please, no comments like "buy an iphone/android/commodore 64" or "we do not officially support phone browsers"

Thanks.

A colleague told me that this one http://www.uzard.com/en/main/main.asp is pretty good. My BB died year+ ago, so I can't try, but I guess I can bug him tomorrow to test on his BB.

I think you need to update your BB Software thats what my Em did and she got her SFC working just fine.

But as much as you dont want to hear it you might want to think about getting a Iphone they are better built for playing games on unlike the BB which is more for office user's.

I use my phone mostly for work and day to day life. Which means email (keyboard) and BBM which is essential to me. Thanks for the hot tip though.

Only one thing coming to my mind atm, install remote desktop / vnc client there and connect to your pc with full browser.

I am glad it is not just me thinking my blackberry torch browser has gone wonky.

In portrait mode, if I make the screen larger, it works a little better, but I have to move around the screen using a combination of the bb button to go up and down, and the screen to go left and right.   If I minimize the screen, there is a large black bar down the right side.

I find that in landscape mode, my bb torch browser works a little better/normally with SFC.

I will try updating my bb browser and see how that works.

Never found bolt to be very useful.  Had used opera on my older bb curve, but it was not fun either.

Woot!  Thanks Matt.  When I checked this morning, it was as good as new.  Thanks so much for taking care of this.
