It loads. Be grateful. How much more friendly do you want it?

The official app project got binned a while back. I'm not surprised either; it'd need writing in at least 2 languages & then supporting that way, plus the deployment hassles with Apple.

I don't like the new interface. I've tried to go back to the old one, and that don't work now. I liked the old interface because the extensions I've got running don't work right in the new one.

BFG does not officially support smooth play.

Moons owned - 14 (9 in O, 5 in 2)
Moons given - 36 (All on Purpose)
Best rank to date - 817 (SFCO)
First (in SFCO) to Energy Tech 17, I claim it!

What the hell. You guys really gotta stop messing around with the UI. I think the planet set up is retarded.

Why did you guys think it should be changed?

Here something for you to think about.

Blue can be for message's
Green can be for Alliance message's
Red for general information

my ideas on a layout
« Reply #10 on: August 21, 2012, 06:24:08 PM »
here is a message I sent BFG support:

Okay, it seems you are now forcing us to use the new layout. There are parts of it that are extremely more intuitive than before, but the reason I hate using it is the messages drop down. It doesn't seem to function properly and I don't care about alliance conversations like I do messages that come in. I want to see them separately.

You could squish the planets down so the resources fits next to them, "Invites" and "News" can be next to "Tech", and last could be a box with "Messages" stacked on top of "Buddies" and "Alliance"

Another treatment with the resource box so you have room for the messages box I proposed above would be to lay it out horizontally, with a square button or the Merchant on the end of it. Lay it above or below the global navigation links.

These links are to a few Photoshop rearranges I did real quick to demonstrate 2 possibilities:

The link order doesn't look very good I would prefer it if you could put missions before fleets after planet and tech before leaders after galaxy. The really big problem for me is the resource count doesn't highlight in red when I am over capacity on storage I have to keep scrolling down to check my capacity, please fix this

Don't squish the planets any further! They don't dispay the complete coordinates correctly as it is, due to lack of space.

Also, would it be possible to move the fleets in use count back to the top of the fleet page? Now I need to scroll down to see the number of available fleet slots.

Leader of an alliance (we like the term 'team' as opposed to 'Alliance' for some reason...) and from my message boards we agree the new message system sucks. 'Option to use' 'months of feedback' I'm calling BS. For those that liked the way things were we had no idea this MESS was coming. I play SFC-O and if I wanted New-Fresh-Change I'd have played Nova (or voted for Obama.)

Please 'fix' this disaster by returning our regular message link soon.

p.s. I'm still p*ssed that my original planet got it's color scheme whacked. Just because it's NEW didn't mean I was going to enjoy it. Like my planet was just going to up and change it's atmosphere color overnight. Please leave SFC-O alone.

if BFG was going to force us to use the new UI they should have made the new message board easier. like an option to message only alliance member only or have the alliance name next to the players
