Ineffectiveness Rule
« on: April 18, 2013, 03:39:11 AM »
Hey Matt,

I am going to be rolling a Heph out tomorrow.

How will the Erebus Class Fighter and the Moros Class Battleship attack a Hephaestus Class Attack Platform, it says the ships are ignoring all shields and directly striking the hull of the ships.

Will these two ships now be able to take a Heph down?

BTW no heph tomorrow just wanted to poke at some people :-)

I guess you could wait for the official word from Matt, but my prediction is that Hephas are indeed vulnerable to Moros & Erebus.

As the Erebus and Moros ignore shields, they are not subject to the ineffectiveness rule when firing and a Heph is vulnerable to an attack by them.

From experience in T2, I can confirm that a Erebus/Moros fleet of sufficient size can take down a Heph. I think I used about 5000 Erebus to do one in T2.
