Strange Ship Requirements

Is it just me or is something wrong with these ship requirements when I go to my Tech screen?

Such as:

Probe:
Shipyard (level 3)
Jet Drive (level 4)
Expedition Tech (level 3)
Espionage Tech (level 2)
Non-Territory Planet

Atlas:
Shipyard (level 2)
Jet Drive (level 2)
Expedition Tech (level 1)
Non-Territory Planet

Posi:
Shipyard (level 5)
Pulse Drive (level 8)
Particle Tech (level 5)
Energy Tech (level 7)
Shield Tech (level 6)
Armor Tech (level 4)
Weapons Tech (level 5)
Non-Territory Planet

I've been playing for 4 hours and still can't build a probe.  Looking for some help...

Have you met all the unlock requirements listed in your post for a probe?

No...I am still working on Exp 1.  I guess my issue is getting Exp 3 which requires 16k + 32k + 64k C or 112K C just to be able to build a probe.

Conquest needs:
Shipyard (level 3)
Jet Drive (level 3)
Espionage Tech (level 2)

Hires Guns needs:
Shipyard (level 3)
Jet Drive (level 4)
Expedition Tech (level 3)
Espionage Tech (level 2)
Non-Territory Planet

The Exp 3 is a real killer.

So i noticed dino require warp 3 to unlock but still have jet as drive... that seems a bit strange to me

I understand the shake up in techs but would be inclined to think a jet driven ship shouldn't require the more 'advanced' warp tech, maybe a pulse or warp driven ship requiring jet

just my thoughts, liking the game so far...

Have you unlocked it?  I agree that a jet-driven ship shouldn't require warp tech (some bizarre techs are to be expected, but this would be a new level) but I haven't unlocked it to verify.  You can't take the wiki too seriously (I'm writing the HG stuff for the wiki).  Oh, I see, right there in the more friendly tech tree... indeed, the game says that warp is required but it's still a jet ship.

Hm.  I also see that Triton requires Krug Quantum drive, but I thought it was also warp.  And it's supposed to have an RF vulnerability of x10 when fired on by Cirrus that's not listed.

I have not unlocked it to verify (working on gaia) but the tech tree has the ship info to click on and it says jet drive.

hoping this is in error and it is intended to be warp, that'd be cool...

the krug quantum drive is a type is a type of warp that you upgrade on alien experiment territories

Huge changes in the ship requirements.  I guess it was done to slow down advancement

We'll be changing the tech requirements on the Dionysus back to Jet Tech and the Triton will be fixed to have a Warp Drive.
