if it had been this way from the start it would be one thing, but changing it now makes me take my account that i have spend many hundreds of hours working on getting to be optimal for the universe, and now completely change it because this may SEEM small, but its actually a DRASTIC and NEGATIVE change to this uni.

yep.. and more to the point, the harder they make the npc's for bigger players, the worse the little players get beat up.. pushing people away from the game.. yeah pvp is cool, but there really does need to be another option which is why npc's were suggested a long time before they were introduced, to add them and only restrict the top end players is counter productive wouldn't you say?

yeah ):
i wouldnt mind if they had just doubled the D on them or something..but to make it easily ten times the D and have LESS resources on them..thats just too much..

ever heard the old saying "dont fix it if it isnt broken?" well it worked perfectly, they tried to fix something that didnt need fixing, and now its broken. this has made it a completely different game and im unsure if its a game i want to play.

what we're seeing in Azures math is twice multiplication, base*(%tech+base)*(%eradeon+base) .. can you see my point here, for a system that suppose to add a percentage each level, that is not whats happening here..

We went over this when people started upgrading Atlas to Pulse 5.  (Or earlier.) Eradeon and techs do each multiply; it is a double multiplication.  It's commutative, but the way it's described is that Eradeon boosts the base stats (Hired Guns will contain a new resource, Eradeon, that can be used to increase the base stats of any ship in the game), and the techs modify the stats according to that modified base, not the unboosted value.

As an aside, because Eradeon does multiply with techs, it is important that it not be too easy to apply.

Edit:  Or even earlier.

let me just drag this out a little further..

base/10 = eradeonBase (1000),
eradeonLevel * eradeonBase = eBonus (10*1000)
base + eBonus = modifiedBase (10000+10000 = 20000)
modifiedBase /20 = driveBase (4000)
driveLevel * driveBase = dBonus (10*4000)
Base + eBonus + dBonus = 60000

ok i can live with that, at least there was 2 adds in there :D

This is so far above where I'm currently at I (and probably 93% or so of players) don't have a sense of what it means.  But I do know that the RSP #3 player being unhappy with the NPCs is not necessarily a bad thing.

all i know is that a few days ago i couldve hit 2 or 3 NPCs with twice as much rez as that one, all at the same time. Now it takes every ship i have just to get ONE of them..and its the only one that big to spawn near me all day too, where as before i was getting several per hour.. :P

Just means im going to need to be more aggressive towards all the players around me in order to maintain my rank (; lol im hoping that they level back out over the next few days though...then i can stop complaining so much(shame on me!)

Yeah! taking away our ability to gather the necessary amount of resources to maintain our ranks from NPCs, will cause us to need to hunt other players more actively. Now, that is great in moderation but.. i can just see a TON of people rag quitting because the top players will continually rape them for resources..and then the Uni will die..
possibly a bit of an exaggeration but a distinct possibility..
Ill give it a few days though to see if the NPCs level back out..

Strange. I thought you were done fleeting which is why you let your ships get smashed....
