Prolog  In the final days of War 3
Lord Theodore looked at the screen at the incoming attack. For six hours he had been sitting on his hemp waiting for this moment. All Lord Theodores planets were dark and his planet in G13 right under Lord Justice was baited with 100,000 athena. More than enough to win the war for Pilgrims. A nice tempting bait for Lord Justice.
The ninja was set up. Now all he had to do was to wait and the war would be won. Lord Justice was coming in with 300,000 athena and hades battleships. More than enough to win the war for Based on and end this conflict in favor of the darkness with a clean sweep.
Three minutes before the attack landed Lord Justice probed the moon and planet. Both lit up. Lord Theodore was tired. He then made a fatal mistake that he regretted for the next few weeks until the end of the pilgrim/based on wars. He launched the ninja 90 seconds early forgetting that his Ninja moon would be lite up. 1 second before the attack landed Lord Justice recalled and sent a message. “I know you have that hemp somewhere. You can recall it now.” Lord Justice mocked Lord Theodore. Lord Justice then scanned all of Lord Theodores planets looking for that missing Hemp.
Lord Theodore did not respond but in 30 minutes nothing happened he hit the p marker and retired.
A few days later Pilgrims won war 3. War 4 was won in a few hours. War 5 now started with a 50 million victory points needed to win.
Lord Theodore felt terrible. He had the war won. HE could taste victory and to have victory snatched from him due to his own mistake was almost more than he could bear. He had to make this right.
That opportunity came in War 5

Lord Theodore studied the shadow probe reports and shook his head. “If anything Lord Justice is a creature of habit. He never uses P mode. Lord Theodore looked at the facts.  He never fleetsaves. The only thing that saves him is his planets are remote far way from any enemies. Lord Theodore had tried to Ihop a planet in war3 but Lord Justice had only started fleetsaving on that one planet and not the others and never leaving his fleet there. So ihopping a planet in is pointless.
A hemp attack is possible but Lord Justice never leaves his fleet at the same place and a hemp attack would take 2 days round trip. Once landed Based on would tip their hand that they were hunting Lord Justice and he may start using P mode or fleetsaving. So that is out of the question.
But Lord Justice always goes offline about 700 game time for three to 3.5 hours. Then comes briefly back online. It would take 2.5 hours to land an attack. A narrow window but possible. Hydro would be the key and where to launch the attack from.
Here at my command at G23 that is where I will accumulate the Hydro and hope Lord Justice lands his fleet for the night at G24 or G22. He will someday. Odds dictate that. Problem is the war is going badly for Based on. Pilgrim victories were getting more and more frequent. Pilgrim commanders were starting to taunt Based on Commanders about their lack of real hits on Pilgrim commanders. “Time to set things right now” Muttered Lord Theodore.
Lord Theodore hit the intercom. “Commander Jen to Lord Theodores quarters.” Seconds later Commander Jen reported to Lord Theodore.
Lord Theodore issued his orders. “Time to get ready to strike Lord Justice. Raid big NPCS from our commander in G23. Raid only the large NPCS and convert all the DF to hydro. All other NPCS build as many ships as possible. After replacing our losses build as many Athena and proms as possible. Lord Justice has a lot of artemis and Apollo fodder and has over 1100 zues we need to slice through. We need more capital ships.” Lord Theodore said. “Yes my Lord it shall be as you command. We should be ready in a week or less. “Make it less” Lord Theodore said. “The war is going badly and we need one major victory to stun the pilgrim command and send a message to the whole universe that the Darkness will triumph in the end. Already Pilgrim commanders are mocking our alliance for our lack of attacks and the rumors of an offensive that has not come. They seem to have no idea how much real planning  and intel gathering comes before a big successful  attack.” Lord Theodore said.
Three days later.
Lord Theo looked at the reports then looked up “Well done Commander Jen. All is in readiness. Our fleets are at levels where we can take on Lord Justice and the Hydro is in Place on G23 19.5 billion metric tons of Hydro. Now we just have to wait for Lord Justice oblige us to spend the night at G24 or G22. Where is he now.” Lord Theodore said

“Currently Lord Justice is in G12 but we expect him to move to G7 soon where he will most likely spend the night. If we are lucky he may move back up to G24. Lord Justice moves are predictable. He raids with a slow Dios and hits a couple of NPCS and moves down to his next planet. Then back to the top again to start over. At this rate we will be able to predict where he will be for a hemp attack if this plan fails.” Commander Jen said.
“Ok keep me informed if he moves to G24 and parks for the night.” Lord Theodore said.
A few hours later an excited knock at the door and commander Jen rushed in without an invite. “Lord Theodore he Lord Justice has moved to G24 and his sending out his final attack for the night. We expect him to go dark soon after 700 Universal space time as his his habit. “ Commander Jen reported.
“Order the fleet assembled and make ready. As soon as his inactivity hits 25 launch the attack at G24. Send a shadow probe to make sure he is still there.” Lord Theodore could not help to sound excited. He was about to rectify his mistake and win this war if the darkness smiled on him.
Lord Theodore sat on the bridge. As expected Lord Justice went inactive shortly after 700 Universal space time. “Launch the fleet and dios. We have a date with destiny” Roared Lord Theodore.
The fleet warp engines flared up and winked into Hyperpace. Seconds later the dios followed for their 5.5 hour trip to the expected DF.
Would this be the final blow or just another disappointed for Lord Theodore.

The battle of Kaiju

Lord Theodore looked at the reports.
He looked up at his commanders. “Report engineer” Lord Theodore said

“Sir all weapons and armor and shields are upgraded to level 21 To  Lord Justice 20. This will give our fleet an edge in the coming battle that plus our superior numbers in battleships.” The engineer stepped back.

“All planets are still Dark and fleet is 8 minutes away. Lord Justice predictability is still proving to be the same.” Commander Jen reported.

“Good report to your fleets and may the darkness smile on us.” Lord Theodore said

Seconds later the fleet winked into normal space. Lord Justice fleet spread out before them. The surprise was complete.

“Poseidons and Athena battle fleet 10 take out those Artemis fodder and Apollo fodder.
Hades fleet take on those Athena
The rest of you follow me to the the prom fleet and Zues fleets.
The battle raged for 5 rounds. But the darkness proved to much for the flickering light of the pilgrims. Soon the last ship was a pile of rubble and only DF could be seen as far as the eye could see. “Sire the dios report they are 3 hours away.” Reported Commander Jen. “That is ok. Lord Justice has lost his entire dios fleet. Nothing left. None of his buddies are close. We will get a big chunk of the DF in any case.” Lord Theodore smiled.
Lord Theodores Mistake in War 3 had been made right. Victory did indeed taste very sweet indeed.
“Lets go home and let the Dios do the rest of the work.” Lord Theodore said.
Send the battle report to Based on and Pilgrim commanders. The Pilgrim and Based on wars are over. Lets Pilgrim and Based on commads join hands now and wage war on the entire galaxy wither they want one or not.

1. Discipline leads to Victory
2. It is Victory in War that brings Immortality
3. Immortality is the Gift of Chaos
4. In exchange, Chaos demands Blood
5. Thus, Blood must be ever spilt
6. Therefore, Eternal Life demands Eternal War
7. Eternal War demands Eternal Discipline
8. Chaos will always have Blood: Yours or Theirs

Wow, nice job Theo. In retrospect, perhaps Justice Umbiya should have fleetsaved before going to bed. Just an observation.

We are all very proud of you Lord Theo!

I am glad you are on our side. The Darkness has proven once  again that we are a formidable force. It is in our nature as the Darkness to consume.

I would like to thank the Pilgrims for these wars. They were all fought with honor and dignity. It was a close game right to the end. You guys play a very tight game.

4:21:14 - DAY 27
•   Overall a quiet day with the standard probe exchange
•   A gentlemen's agreement between 2 respected commanders saw a series of 3 skirmishes; each consisted of less than 20 Athenas between them; PILGRIMS won 2 to 1 with negligible war impact
•   Unbeknownst to either, these would be the last Pilgrim victories of the war

A truly excellent job of intelligence-gathering by Based On, with superb follow-on execution by Theodore!  I think that we all have learned some fine PvP tips by monitoring your war records for the past several months!

4:22:14 - DAY 28
•   Today saw the war come to an abrupt & dramatic conclusion; a PILGRIM battle fleet lay broken and shattered in G24
•   Operation Thunderbolt, BASED ON's long anticipated offensive, was a bold and ambitious move; it would traverse a galaxy to surprise their enemy
•   Weeks of planning and tracking had gone into preparation for just this moment
•   A BASED ON shadow probe confirmed their target inactive
•   At 1005hrs, Pilgrim sensors rang out signifying an inbound attack; The Battle of Kaiju had begun
  • 266k+ Bombers spearheaded assault; objective - neutralize enemy ground defenses
  • Recovering from their initial shock, Pilgrim dispatched 600k Athenas to intercept this threat (Advantage - Pilgrims)
  • Several thousand bombers were destroyed before the 1st surprise was sprung; 1m+ Hades concealed in the bomber's wake charged into the fray (Advantage - Based On)
  • Assessing the situation Pilgrim Cmdr committed 800k Dreadnoughts, the bulk of his dreadnoughts, along with 10m+ Light fighters
  • With this decision, the battle swung back (Advantage - Pilgrims)
  • Based On Cmdr quietly study the incoming battle reports; countered the Pilgrim move with 2.5m Athenas & 772k cruisers
  • Once again the battle turned (Advantage - Based On)
  • Realizing their circumstances, Pilgrims committed their reserves in one last ditch effort to throw the attackers back; 300k Dreadnoughts, 234k Hades, 500k+ Athenas, 92.8k Bombers, 82k.5k Cruisers & 1.5m Hvy Fighters joined the massive struggle; 1100+ Battlestars added long-range fire support (Advantage - Even)
  • Based On's intel confirmed that the Pilgrims were now fully committed; no reserves left to counter their main blow
  • The hammer fell as 4.6m Dreadnoughts along with 2.5m Athenas jumped into the system
  • 3m Dreadnoughts and 500k Athenas joined the main fracas; the battle had turned for the final time (Advantage - Based On)
  • Meanwhile 1.5m dreadnoughts engaged the Battlestars while 2m Athenas chased down and destroyed the merchant fleet and support ships.
  • The final blow was delivered by 100k Dreadnoughts; engaged and destroyed the enemy's defenseless Hemp
•   The carnage was complete & total; ensuing debris field was massive 62.8b+ Ore & 35.6b+ Crystal
  • Pilgrim Combat Ship Losses - 1117 Battlestars, 1.067m Dreadnoughts, 92.8k Bombers, 234.4k Hades, 1.114m Athenas, 82.5k Cruisers, 1.546m Hvy Fighters, 10.116m+ Fighters

  • Based On Losses - 61.1k Dreadnoughts, 8424 Bombers, 45.5k Hades, 430.8k Athenas & 239.2k Cruisers
•   BASED ON celebrated a Resounding Victory
•   Stunned, PILGRIMS sued for peace upon confirmation of their loss
•   Final war standing - BASED ON 313523525 to 53011079
•   The conflict between the Light & Dark has ended....for now.
