Although the current (at the moment) #1 Calis 121,552  also happens to be #1 in defense with 9,918,  in general, the correlation between overall score and defense score is pretty weak among top players: For instance, #2 Ebola 115,764 has only 98 defense points (#565).

Is that what the game is about nowadays? Hitting defences for quests?

Eh, if only.

I am curious what profit was gained from the quest and whether or not it was necessary to do it on an actual player?

YES

its a daily quest that increases each time based on last completion.

go into your quests and look at how many MB's you need to destroy and what the pay out is, thats why I asked for the full BR. Also there is a quest for destroying sats I believe.

CASE IN POINT - in this uni it is very hard to come by res other than mining and the quests are a great source of additional res to help you build up

sheesh...............................

Did it have to be done on a player, though? Some quests you can do on NPCs instead for the same result.

its easier to do it on a player than an NPC and more profitable

Players are stationary, NPC's vanish as soon as hit especially the smaller ones that you can hit with only smaller fleets like we see in this uni BECAUSE ONCE AGAIN RES IS HARD TO COME BY!

Players can be hit more than once to get the quests done so it saves on time and resources and generally players will have more MB's than the NPC's saving on flight time and slots - and yet again you can get res from players so there's two reasons to go for players rather than NPC's, RES + QUESTS = BETTER ROI

Res is only hard to come by if you waste it in the early game instead of reinvesting it into mines.

WRONG AGAIN

the return on mines is too slow v build times to enable you to build more mines, quicker to raid and get quest res than rely on mines as even with slow build times res doesn't accumulate quickly enough to allow growth quickly.

If you don't mind my asking, what are your mine levels and tech levels so far? And foundry yet?

Sorry I can't give out that information; it's strategically advantageous!

All the destroy x/x in battle daily quests have to be against players with the exception of Zeus.  At least in SDE, you can attack an NPC to complete the destroy x/x Zeus daily quest.

Strategically advantageous? Lmao I suppose every uni has at least one clown. Any idiot can probe to see what I asked for I was merely asking casually to weigh up what you suggested for the sake of discussion. Not that important so game on, have a nice day  8)

Nope, people that are both n or N cannot probe to give you my data.

Also no one knows who i am in this uni

Yet again another statement that is completely wrong, you're doing well!

if I wanted to, I could log in and probe you myself.

everyone who has read this thread knows who you are in this uni.

arrogance is fine if you are sharp and on the ball, have your bases covered and whatever, but it makes you look stupid when you dont check things out before you comment.

have a nice day

please log in and probe me then - no one knows who i am in this uni!

well this is your best planet and I can see why you have to spend alot of time running quests. Kinda like running around a hamster wheel which is moving forward on a conveyor belt at the same speed as everyone else. Clearly have no idea how to build a balanced account yet seem to think you know it all.

I've left them probes there, by the way, incase you need to unlock another quest ;)
