Honestly just build Ds. There are ALWAYS annoying fracks at teh start of every uni, and there are always people who leave res and sats undefended only to whine when they get smashed in.

Just build Ds. Is it annoying as fun that you get rammed in for so little? Yes. Is it kinda unfair that the P mode players can build sats byu the hundreds with no D because they P mode every night and will get a very significant resource advantage at the start of the uni (no res "wasted" on D and reinvested in ships and mines)? Yes.

Will it stop because you unwind on the forums? nope.

Just build Ds and move on. (or use solar arrays- which I don't recommend-)

What does mine production have to do with hits.   1 ai slot netted me about 250k in a hour.    Good return I think.   Mines have nothing to do with it.   Hater

talking about ROI and non classy games play Blue and Frog (coincidence?)

how about iamviper nuking for over 4 hours and 40 nukes to take down a players def to get 800 DSP ?

funny how you only post the stuff that apparently is making others look bad, how about looking within?

I'll take that as validation of my point then!

Are you?

You forgot that you used res to build those ships, res tha tfrog seems to think would ahve been better spent building mines with. You also spent hydro to launch your ships, so calc'ing only the AI cost for that launch is wrong.

call it an 'hour' if you will, though that was 'an hour' of your life you were tied to your computer for a dumb profit that would have been better spent hitting a meaningful target.

What everyone forgets in calc'ing the net revenue from these attacks is the human factor. I remember when Brav in pre-NPC inflated times argues for nonstop mining as the surest way to the top of the rankings. It was both true and false, and so is your statement.

In theory your statement is truer than Kinkies, but when you factor in the human factor it isn't. If Kinkie just build mines and doesn't do little profit attacks, then he gets bored fo the game and quits. How is your strategy a surest way to the top for him then? I've seen quite a few old time players try to follow Brav's intensive mining way to the top and get bored out of their minds and quit (Brav being one himself).

So just calcing ROI in every aspect of the game isn't the absolute answer.

@ Pantin

Solely mining or solely fleeting are both flawed methods.

Not if you have fun while doing it. I get that your point is the statistical mathematical way of being at the top of the leaderboard, but no one's a machine. If you get to #1 but you are bored out of your mind getting there then you're not really winning anything.

This kinktash feller, I don't know who he is or what his history is but I have seen many players like him before hit a wall about 3 months into the uni.

very surely he will, but that's like 50% of the player base left. They start fast and meaningless, they play for a while and have fun then flame out because they haven't taken the time or will to build somethign lasting. But it's okay. They had fun for those three months.

They get a three month rest, and then BFG releases a new universe.
