My birthday is next week. Is that a good reason to receive special charity? :)

Maybe...when? If it's the same as my daughter's (and I can), I'll send you a small gift.

Awww...you're off by 3 days. Do you have the same name in the game? I can still send you something if you don't outrank me.

the only way for any new player to get a foot in this uni is with a helping hand to get started with. Otherwise they have no chance. There are some players in this uni who are happy to help new players, but there are others who think weirdly. Personally, I don't see what the fuss is about and anyone who has a problem with someone helping someone else needs their head examined. The only way you should be looking at this is that a new player is a new player which adds to the overall numbers of a uni which has decreased in number significantly over the years. Don't you want new targets? Do you suck so much yourself that you are you afraid of competition? seriously, what is your problem?

uh ohhhh... the fat kid got a nuke button!

I dunno I haven't had an account in O since '09, but I'm sure if someone spent ten years at it they could get somewhere without help.

Of course by then everyone ahead of them would have quit so I suppose its a moot point.

I think the issue lies in between the two extremes. Helping out a friend or alliance mate (or anyone you so choose) isn't the issue that players are having (I don't think). It's the "inflated" help. It's the giving of resources that newbies can't handle. It's the billions of dsp that makes a newer player jump the leader boards in leaps and bounds. It's kind of becoming more of a "who you know" than a "what you know" kind of game. It's all good though. A less experienced player will most likely be a tasty treat to someone at some point. Those that put in "blood, sweat, and tears" shouldn't fret...you appreciate things better when you earn it. Several times I was offered a "more advanced account" or told I should ask for one when a player quit, but I am so invested in "Stina Starr" at this point, I don't think I could walk away from it. I don't know if I'll ever make it past #231, but, if I do, it'll be awesome. For that hour or so, that I make it to #230, 229, etc., I am so excited and feel so accomplished...but it never lasts long. LOL It's ok though...adapt or die, right?

I've never taken over an account either. It's not that I think there's anything wrong with the idea in principle, its more that noone builds an account quite the same way I do, and it just wouldn't feel like it was mine.

So, if you think res dumping is a problem, what do you think of someone selling res?  2 trillion of any resource for 25,000 credits.

I don't sell res, but I have certainly given enough away to help other players.  You'll have to check with someone else about buying res.

ahh too good to be true. Should have known.

For the topic i wonder if it comes down to the person receiving the mass resources didn't really earn them themselves. I wonder if that is the true issue. Seems like some players are just getting a free ride because they know someone while the rest of us struggle to get what we can. Makes me feel like the hard work i put into the game means nothing when another player that is funded blows pass me.
