I'm looking forward to the battle reports and stories from day one action.

As I'm now ranked #46 and Shinzon is ranked #43 I'm not allowed to participate, yet he is.

Therefore no action from me.  Somebody thought these rules out well.

@Idan, there had to be a cut off point. If I eliminated the overall cap, then the smaller alliances would't participate. I imagine the next JVT will change again, as the nature of this game. If there was any confusion, I apologize but the rules were clear to almost everybody. I haven't heard anyone else say otherwise.

I wasn't a fan of the cutoff. What's the point of having one if when the drop below and can still participate but you go above and you can't? Ida was above the cutoff when we signed up but fell below just before the start and the back above before the end of the first day. Makes no sense, needs to be changed.

If you need a cutoff why exclude 0-45 why not let them fight? It's no different than 101 attacking 1000.

Thats not legal.... The starting rank at the beginning of the tournament should've been 46-5000. If The were 45th overall yesterday, they didn't make the cut. I know it sucks but I had to have a cut off limit somewhere. There are more small guys than big guys. I had to make sure they were willing to play.... If I had no cap limit, this might as well be any other tournament.

I agree Grex, however I had (or tried to have) many discussions, months in advance. I was trying to avoid any issues and shoot for maximum participation.  I personally will fight or hunt anybody... Rank doesn't matter to me, but my opinion isn't the reflection of the majority.

What would you do.... Have a JVT with 5 alliances, or a JVT with 10-15 alliances? I made my choice.

I will have a discussion on the JVT thread at the end of this to see what we can do to improve the tournament in the future. I don't have all the answers, but when I ask for feedback, nobody has shit to say. Lets think about that for a minute.

Golden Horde has triumphed over Jedi Council. The war is over. Normal peace-time rules of conduct have been re-instated.

Not knocking you Justice. I know you put a lot into this and got a great turnout. Like i said in the beginig we will participate and follow any rule you decide. Just voicing my opinion as I see others bringing it back up. The discussion had been going on since before the start. Just trying to get one of my guys in as I know you would do the same.

Again don't take any of this as me bashing you or the tournament. I have a lot of respect for you and what you put together. Even though we just got spanked by COLD again we enjoy this tournament.

Day 1
Reporting from RgC HQ
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Rigellian Compact Vs. Jedi Council

The war started off with some small fireworks from RgC's Commander.Davies as he hit Varpilah Chase 9 times in the first few hours of the war. Davies would plunder 57,713,476 resources and 64,420 DSP. Minor losses in the fight gave Jedi Council their first points totalling 2,465.

RgC: 122,123 JediCoun: 2,465
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Rigellian Compact Vs. Only pre-compression welcome

Today, only the sound of supersonic probes could be heard. No attacks from either side, and a slow start to the war.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Rigellian Compact Vs. No One Is Safe Ever

Although there is no report of who attacked whom, It appears though Noise was the first one to make a move in the war. Noise completed an attack on an unknown Rigellian accumulating 9,667,843 in resources and 52,345 DSP. The Rigellian defenses awarded some small points, as well with 3,600 in DSP lost during the attack.

RgC: 3600 NOISE: 62,012
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Rigellian Compact Vs. Golden Horde

Another silent war with only the sounds of passing probes. Then again, there isn't any sound in space... So i guess there wasn't any noise.
